As part of the Republican "Clean Kazakhstan" program, on January 27, 2025, on the initiative of the district akim Arman Karsybayev, an eco-marathon was launched to improve the sanitary conditions of the district, clean public places, and encourage people to protect nature. The marathon was started by the district akim Araman Karsybayev and volunteer youth from the district center, cleaning the parks from garbage.
The youth of the Shardara district started the cleaning event with the slogan "Let's start protecting nature with ourselves, protecting nature is our duty," and the eco-marathon was sent to all rural districts and continued in 10 rural districts. The marathon, which lasted 11 days, was held today, February 7, in the Dostyk rural district, and was attended by volunteer youth and residents of the district.
More than 1,000 volunteer youth from the city and rural districts participated in the eco-marathon, and 14 vehicles were mobilized. 18 kilometers of irrigation systems, 21 kilometers of footpaths, more than 50 kilometers of streets were cleaned, and about 76 tons of garbage were collected and removed.
The cleaning campaign being carried out in the Shardara district will continue systematically throughout the year, not just as part of a marathon or campaign.
