Akim of Zhambyl region Yerbol Karashukeyev paid a working visit to Kordai district.
In accordance with the Decree of the Head of State “On holding meetings of akims of all levels with the population”, the regional head first met with the residents of the district.
The meeting was attended by heads of a number of departments and law enforcement agencies.
The regional akim first briefly touched upon the socio-economic development indicators of the region and specified future goals and objectives.
According to the results of 2024, positive dynamics were observed in all areas of the Kordai district: growth was achieved in industrial production (101.1%), retail trade turnover (104.0%), construction work (142.3%), the volume of housing put into operation (102.4%), and agriculture (104.8%).
At the meeting, Yerbol Karashukeyev emphasized the need for state support to reach ordinary farmers and residents. He also set the district akimat the task of developing the business sector and creating favorable conditions for investors.
The creation of large enterprises in the local area will undoubtedly give a boost to the stable employment of the population and the economic development of the region.
- The Head of State has been constantly talking about increasing the country's investment attractiveness and considering new mechanisms for attracting foreign funds, and has been giving relevant instructions. In this regard, as Kassym-Jomart Kemelovich Tokayev noted, improving the overall investment climate in the country should become our main goal, not just solving "individual" issues, said the regional akimat.
Construction work is gaining momentum in the Korday district, and positive growth is observed in the sector. However, since 2022, the construction of 2 multi-storey residential buildings in the Korday village has been stalled.
- The problem arose due to the inability of the contractor company to carry out the work systematically. This indicates a lack of strict control on the part of the district akimat. Now appropriate measures are being taken within the framework of the law. The mistake should not be repeated, - the regional head said, giving a strict warning to those responsible.
At the meeting, the district akim and his deputies reported on the work done.
The regional akim specifically touched upon the social sphere and instructed the deputy district akim responsible for this area to take specific measures to provide children with additional education.
During the question-and-answer session, the residents of the district raised a number of issues and shared their thoughts. In particular, issues related to the social sphere, including education, medicine, and pasture land, were raised.
They also asked to modernize the stadium in the district center.
In turn, Yerbol Karashukeyev said that the questions raised by the people would not be ignored. A corresponding action plan will be developed based on the above-mentioned recommendations and criticisms.
At the end of the meeting, the regional akim instructed to intensify work on introducing new and advanced technologies in agriculture and livestock farming, prioritize the fifth direction of the "Auyl Amanaty" project, widely promote business opening measures among the residents of the district, provide social support to young specialists and youth, and systematically work with entrepreneurs to ensure food security and prevent fuel and liquefied gas shortages.
After that, the regional akim personally received citizens and listened to their problems.
It should be noted that in 2024, akims of all levels of Zhambyl region held 759 meetings with the population. Of the 2,754 issues raised, 2,514 were implemented and 240 were brought under control.
