Ethics is a reflection of the professional identity of a civil servant. It strengthens the trust of the people and raises the prestige of the state body.
The main ethical principles of a civil servant:
Honesty and fairness - compliance with the law and conscience in every action.
Politeness and respect - treating colleagues, citizens and partners with courtesy.
Responsibility - timely and high-quality performance of official duties.
Being an example to society - being cultured in appearance and behavior.
Earning trust - showing openness and understanding in relations with citizens.
Observing ethical norms - not raising one's voice, not using abusive language, not allowing conflicts.
Cooperation - supporting the team, helping each other, showing respect.
Preventing corruption - refusing illegal rewards, conflicts of interest.
“Culture and etiquette should begin with every citizen, every family” (K. Tokayev, Address of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2025). This principle is especially important for civil servants. Because every civil servant is the image of the country, the owner of trust and respect from the people.
Remember:
Every civil servant is a representative of the state.
Every word and deed affects the honor of the country.
Etiquette is a manifestation of respect for the people, loyalty to the state.
An employee who adheres to etiquette is a respectable citizen, a person worthy of the people’s trust.
