Trade and consumer protection 25.06.2025
Question: Nowadays, we simply cannot imagine our life without a cell phone. And manufacturers advertise new products almost every day. Buying a new modern phone is a dream of many people, and some are even willing to take out a bank loan to make it happen. And the sadder it is when this phone breaks down, what should I do in this case? Answer: At first, consumers try to resolve the conflict themselves, try to exchange the phone at the point of sale for a working one, or return the defective product back. However, sellers are in no hurry to comply with the requirements of the law.And all because buyers often do not take the documents confirming the purchase. No receipts, no warranty cards. When a consumer doesn't get his hands on the documents, he creates problems for himself. Firstly, the receipt contains all the details of the seller, and it is easy to find it in case of a phone breakdown. And secondly, the receipt is proof that you bought the phone at this particular outlet. A warranty card is also a document, and it also confirms the purchase. The documents can be very useful to you if the device fails. Of course, according to the current law on Consumer Rights Protection, the buyer has the right to use witness statements to prove the purchase of the goods if the necessary receipt and coupons are lost. But it's much easier and more reasonable to keep the product receipt and warranty card. According to the Consumer Protection Act, the buyer has the right to request that a faulty phone be replaced with a similar working copy. By the way, the phone malfunction still needs to be proved. As well as the fact that you didn't drown or drop it yourself. The expertise is carried out by service centers and special accredited organizations. If it turns out that the buyer is not to blame for the malfunction of the phone, the seller fulfills the buyer's requirements to replace the phone and refund the funds. If the results of the examination raise doubts, then you can get an independent assessment of the technical condition of the phone at your own expense by contacting another service center. And with the results of the examination and all other documents in hand, the consumer's chances of winning a case in court increase significantly.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/kyzylorda-karmakshy/press/news/details/1021551?lang=kk

East Kazakhstan Region considers issues of tourism and healthcare 25.06.2025
The regional akimat hosted an off-site meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev. The meeting was attended by Asylkhan Ashikov, First Deputy Head of the Anti-Corruption Service Department for East Kazakhstan region. During the meeting, issues related to the passage of the tourist season, as well as the tourist potential of the city of Ridder, and the organization of summer holidays for children were discussed. In addition, problematic issues of financing within the framework of the compulsory social health insurance system in the East Kazakhstan region and other health problems were considered. "The tourist season in our country traditionally falls during the summer months. Right now, during the period of an active flow of tourists, it is important to ensure the well—coordinated work of all involved services - from transport and communal infrastructure to law enforcement agencies and sanitary control. The main priority is a high level of service, safety, sanitary condition and transparency of business activities in the tourism sector," Yermek Kosherbayev said. I would like to note that this year, the Anti-Corruption Service conducted an external analysis to identify corruption risks in the tourism sector. The analysis identified the risks of irrational use of budget funds when subsidizing the cost of building tourist facilities, risks in the field of licensing tour operators, as well as risks associated with public procurement for the organization of tourist events. In addition, the facts of unlawful restriction of access to tourist sites and illegal collection of fees from tourists have been revealed. Currently, work is underway with the authorized bodies to eliminate them. Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/anticorruption-vko/press/news/details/1021591?lang=kk
