Water in every house: how the instruction of the Head of State is carried out in Kostanay region 02.06.2025
In Kostanay region, by the end of the year, it is planned to fully resolve the issue of public access to high-quality drinking water. As part of the execution of the instructions of the President of Kazakhstan, large-scale work is underway to connect rural and urban settlements to water supply systems.To date, water is provided:99% of the urban population,91.3% of the rural population.By the end of 2025, the remaining 33 villages and 2 towns — Arkalyk and Tobyl — will also be connected. As a result, the region will reach 100% coverage., What will be done:Centralized water supply will be installed in 20 villages (13 thousand people),Water distribution points will be installed in 13 villages (3,000 people),Water transportation will be organized in 7 settlements."Providing the population with clean drinking water is not only a matter of infrastructure, but also a matter of quality of life. We are completing work in the remaining villages and towns, as instructed by the Head of State," the Department of Energy and Housing and Communal Services noted.66 water supply and sanitation projects are being implemented this year:45 — in rural settlements,21 — in cities.The total amount of financing is 22 billion tenge, including:6.9 billion — from the National Fund,5.3 billion — from the Stabilization State Fund,7.6 billion — from the local budget,2.1 billion — from the republican budget.Additionally, in June, it is planned to allocate another 9 billion tenge for the implementation of 14 projects, 13 of them in villages and 1 in the city of Tobyl. The relevant petitions have been sent to the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan., Expected result:Water will appear in villages such as Georgievka, Mikhaylovka, Vostok, Konstantinovka, Lesnoye, Sverdlovka, Pervomaiske and others.Water supply will improve in 10 villages where the systems need to be updated.The problem with imported water will be resolved in remote settlements.All construction and installation work is on schedule. Belgrade, 30 May 2025 – On the eve of the International Day for the Protection of Children, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Serbia handed over several dozen copies of the story “Journey to Childhood” by Berdibek Sokpakbaev, a classic of Kazakh children's literature, translated into Serbian by the Embassy, to the Charitable Foundation of the Crown Princess of Serbia Katherine Karadjordjevic.According to Dijana Dobrota, Head of the Foundation, the book donation has become a wonderful tradition of collaboration between the Embassy and Foundation, centered on the power of books and education to connect cultures and inspire young minds.Serbian side expressed its firm belief that this project has a lasting, positive impact-fostering friendship, understanding, and cultural exchange from an early age.The donated books will be distributed to schools and children’s institutions across Serbia, where they will not only enrich libraries but also open a window into the literature and spirit of the Kazakh people.In conclusion, Dijana Dobrota conveyed warm congratulations and best wishes from Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine to the children of Kazakhstan in honour of International Children's Day.The Crown Princess Katherine Foundation of Serbia was established in August 2001 to help children with special needs, orphans and abused children. Kazakhstan and Pakistan establish co-operation in medical education 02.06.2025
From May 26 to 30, 2025, a delegation from one of the leading universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Astana Medical University» headed by Rector Ms. Anar Turmukhambetova visited the cities of Islamabad and Lahore. Memorial Day 02.06.2025
May 31 is the Memorial Day for Victims of Political Repression and Famine. The date has been celebrated in our country since 1997. For 27 years, Kazakhstan has been commemorating the innocent dead on the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repression. In the village of Ayet, flowers were laid in the Youth Park at the memorial stone to the victims of political repression and famine in the 1930s, as well as at the bust of Beimbet Mailin. The event was attended by heads of institutions of the district center and members of the district Council of veterans. Olga Nurgalieva, Head of the Internal Policy Department, and Raisa Ovcharova, Chairman of the District Council of Veterans, spoke at the event. In their speech, they noted the need to remember the tragic events. The participants observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims. In Kazakhstan, from 1921 to 1954, more than 103,000 people were repressed and over 25,000 were shot. Brasília, May 31, 2025 – The annual charity event, the “International Food and National Culture Fair”, was held at the Museum of Modern Art in the capital of Brazil.This year, the event brought together around 60 foreign embassies and international organizations in Brazil. The annual fair is organized by the Group of Spouses of Heads of Diplomatic Missions Accredited in Brazil (GCCM). Since 2023, Gulnazia Nussupova, the wife of the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil, has served as the President of the GCCM Association.The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brazil presented its national booth at the fair, decorated with national and traditional symbols, along with souvenirs. Traditional Kazakh dishes were offered to visitors. In particular, the national dishes and handmade souvenirs prepared by the spouses of the Embassy staff attracted special interest among the visitors. Guests at the Kazakh booth were able to enjoy the hospitality and rich variety of Kazakh national cuisine. Young Guests and Armored Vehicles: National Guard Creates a Special Celebration for Children 02.06.2025
On June 1, in honor of International Children's Day, the aviation base of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a festive event titled "Bala — Elimizdin Bolashagy" ("Children — the Future of Our Nation").A vibrant and engaging program was prepared for the young guests. One of the most memorable moments was the performance of a service dog named Samurai, trained by the K-9 unit of the operational brigade. The special demonstration sparked a wave of joy and excitement among the audience.During the event, children drew pictures on the pavement and took part in singing and dancing contests. They had the chance to explore aircraft such as the An-74, An-26, Y8, and helicopters like the Mi-8 and Mi-171 — even sitting inside the cockpits. Additionally, kids were invited into military armored vehicles and patrol cars, experiencing the thrill of being a soldier. Among the showcased equipment were not only combat machines but also those used in special operations.The Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard presented theatrical performances featuring fairy tale characters, leaving the children full of bright impressions. Entertainers led interactive shows and dance flash mobs, enthusiastically joined by the young attendees.— The National Guard command always pays attention to the families of service members. Astana, May 30, 2025 – Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu held a meeting with the Ooni of Ife Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi – one of Nigeria’s most respected traditional leaders and the spiritual head of the Yoruba people, who arrived in Kazakhstan on a visit and to participate in the Astana International Forum.During the meeting, the interlocutors expressed mutual interest in strengthening the political dialogue between Kazakhstan and Nigeria. In this context, the meeting between President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which took place in January 2025 on the sidelines of the “Sustainability Week” Summit in Abu Dhabi, was noted.“Kazakhstan and Nigeria have significant potential for mutually beneficial cooperation in the political, trade, economic, and cultural spheres.
