The new draft Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan includes provisions on the unicameral Parliament model and the updated system of state bodies in several sections. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court Bakhyt Nurmukhanov at a regular meeting of the Constitutional Commission. According to him, the norms for the unicameral parliamentary model are summarized in the fourth part - the section called "Kuryltai". This section establishes the powers of the legislative body, and also updates all articles related to the organization of the sessions of the Kuryltai and its activities. "The number of subjects with the right to initiate legislation has been clearly defined. The Constituent Assembly establishes a list of the most important public relations regulated by the adoption of laws. The procedures for considering and adopting draft laws are provided for. Issues related to the position of the Chairman of the Constituent Assembly are regulated in a separate article," said Bakhyt Nurmukhanov. The fifth part is dedicated to the "Government".
