Vilnius, June 9, 2025 – On the occasion of International Archives Day, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Vilnius between the Central State Archive of Cinema, Photo Documents, and Sound Recordings of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Lithuanian Central State Archives.This event marked an important step in strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and Lithuania. The memorandum aims to promote the exchange of experience, the implementation of joint projects, and the development of professional collaboration in the archival field. As part of the ceremony, a photo exhibition titled “The Role of Women in Kazakh Steppe Culture in the Late 19th and Early 20th Centuries” was officially opened. Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chinese corporation East Hope Group Liu Yongxing. Akim of Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov took part in the discussion of the prospects of the new investment project.The project provides for the creation of a full-cycle industrial park for aluminum production using the principles of circular economy and renewable energy sources. The first ever Kazakhstan Table tennis Championship among athletes aged 11 and younger was held in Karaganda. More than 250 young athletes from all regions of the country took part in it. They fought for medals for six days. There were so many emotions! There's been a lot of talk recently about queues at the Kazakh-Russian border, especially at the Zhaysan automobile checkpoint. Some reports have mistakenly linked these truck buildups to issues with the CarGoRuqsat electronic queue system.The State Revenue Committee MF RK clarifies that the primary cause of congestion is temporary roadworks on the Samara–Shymkent republican highway, specifically in front of the Zhaysan checkpoint. These works, which began on May 13, 2025, are approximately scheduled for completion by June 7, 2025. As part of the renovation, traffic is restricted by temporary traffic lights and a construction barrier, significantly reducing the road's capacity.At the Sagarchin checkpoint on the Russian side, only two lanes are operational, compared to four at the Zhaysan checkpoint on the Kazakh side. This disparity creates a throughput imbalance and contributes to queue formation.The CarGoRuqsat electronic queue system, operating on the digital platform Qoldau.kz, effectively digitalizes state border procedures. Since its introduction in 2023, checkpoint capacity on the border with third countries has increased by 61%. Over 230,000 trucks have already transited through the system at the EEU bordersThe CarGoRuqsat electronic queue system offers carriers the ability to pre-book border crossing times, ensures transparent and equitable booking conditions, provides automatic notifications for outstanding payments or required documentation, and allows for expedited passage at a separate fare when necessary.Overall, the EQS effectively regulates traffic flows, ensures transparent border crossing processes, minimizes human factor influence and corruption risks, and consequently prevents congestion.Considering the current situation, carriers are advised to:- book their border crossing time in advance and arrive at the checkpoints at the selected time;- Continuously monitor information regarding traffic conditions and any possible restrictions along the route;- To avoid checkpoint congestion, the Committee urges carriers and foreign trade participants to book an electronic queue in the CarGoRuqsat system and strictly adhere to their scheduled arrival date.- Do not succumb to provocations and false information on social networks that call for violating order. A major investment project in the field of the agro–industrial complex is being implemented in the Yerementau district - the construction of a livestock complex by BIG FARM LLP. Due to the low water level in the Syrdarya River, work is underway to conserve water and diversify crops. In this regard, Vice Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Aldamzharov visited Kazalinsky district, who met with the heads of economic units and agricultural formations of the district.During his working trip, Vice Minister Nurlan Zhanuzakovich, together with Akim of the district Meirambek Shermaganbet, head of the Aral-Syrdarya Basin Inspectorate Zeynulla Kaztoganov and heads of relevant industries visited the acreage of Zhalantos Batyr LLP, the A. Tynybayev hydroelectric power plant in Basykara village and the rice-sowing farm in the district.The akim of the district informed the vice minister that this year it is planned to place agricultural crops on 18245 lands in the Kazalinsky district, including rice on 6436 hectares. However, due to the lowering of the water level in the Syrdarya River, in order to save water, rice was placed 800 hectares less than the established plan, that is, 5,636 hectares.Nurlan Zhanuzakovich noted that in the future, if the water level in the Syrdarya River decreases, appropriate work will be carried out to pump water from the main channels through special pumps to the lower channels. In addition, the heads of relevant industries and farms need to work together to maximize the use of water and obtain appropriate products.It should be noted that 9 farms are engaged in rice sowing in the region as a whole.
