💠 The State Revenue Committee MF RK informs participants of foreign economic activity on the procedure for making mandatory payments during the customs clearance of vehicles.In accordance with current legislation, the following payments are due when importing vehicles into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan:Customs duty for customs declaration — in the amount of 6 monthly calculation indices (Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan) dated 05.04.18 № 171.)Import customs duty - determined in accordance with the Unified Customs Tariff of the Eurasian Economic Union. The duty rate depends on the manufacture year, volume, and type of engine, and can vary from 0% to 18%, or be set at a fixed amount depending on the measurement unit (Decision of the EEC Council dated 14.09.21 № 80).💠 Excise tax is payable in respect of passenger and other motor vehicles intended mainly for transporting people with an engine capacity of more than 3,000 cubic meters. The excise tax rate is 100 tenge per 1 cubic meter. cm. 19 National Guard Officers Graduate from Kazakhstan’s National Defense University 09.06.2025
A solemn graduation ceremony was held in Astana for officers of the operational-tactical management level — master’s degree graduates of the National Defense University of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This year, more than 150 graduates will join the command ranks of the Armed Forces and other military formations of Kazakhstan.Among the graduates were 19 officers of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Notably, Colonel Arman Iskakov of the National Guard successfully defended his doctoral dissertation and was awarded a PhD degree while studying in the university’s doctoral program.The National Defense University is Kazakhstan’s largest interdepartmental educational, methodological, and research center, playing a coordinating role in the academic and scientific activities of military institutions under the Armed Forces.— "Today we honor the graduates of our university. They are now tasked with leading military units and strengthening the combat readiness and professionalism of our armed forces. Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan and Iran Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation 08.06.2025
Tehran, June 7, 2025 – As part of his official visit to Iran, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu held negotiations with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Abbas Araghchi.The ministers discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral interaction, as well as exchanged views on pressing international and regional issues. Particular attention was paid to enhancing trade and economic partnership, with an emphasis on bringing cooperation to a qualitatively new level.“We intend to further expand the dynamic and constructive dialogue between our two countries. In 2024, bilateral trade increased by 12.3% and amounted to over 340 million US dollars, while in the first quarter of 2025, this figure rose by 82% to 129 million US dollars. Our goal is to maintain this momentum and increase trade turnover to 3 billion US dollars,” Nurtleu stated.The foreign ministers of Kazakhstan and Iran highlighted the importance of coordinating joint efforts in the development of the Caspian region. Milad Karimi, senior specialist at the National Guard Sports Team Training Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and renowned gymnast, has won a silver medal in the floor exercise final at the Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships held in South Korea.The 25-year-old athlete reaffirmed his status as one of the national team’s leading performers, earning an impressive 14.400 points from the judges. In a close contest for gold, Karimi fell short by just two-tenths of a point to the 2024 Olympic champion from the Philippines, Carlos Edriel Yulo (14.600). The bronze medal went to the host nation’s representative, Moon Geun-Yeon (14.033).Milad Karimi remains a shining figure in Kazakhstan's gymnastics scene. He is a multiple-time World Cup winner in both floor exercise and high bar, as well as the 2025 World Cup overall winner in floor exercise. Bankruptcy of individuals in Kazakhstan: results and innovations 08.06.2025
Since March 3, 2023, the Law "On the Restoration of Solvency and Bankruptcy of Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan" has been in force in the Republic of Kazakhstan, providing citizens with three procedures for resolving debt obligations: out-of-court bankruptcy, judicial bankruptcy and restoration of solvency.Procedure application statisticsDeclared bankrupt: 28.4 thousand citizens through the state revenue authorities; 196 citizens by court decision.The total amount of liabilities is 147.1 billion tenge.The procedure for restoring solvency was applied by 103 citizens in the amount of 9.5 billion tenge, of which 8 recovery plans were approved.Since the introduction of the Law, there has been an increase in public awareness: 83,057 applications were submitted in 2024, and 77,106 in 5 months of 2025.Key changes in legislationAmendments aimed at simplifying procedures came into force on August 20, 2024.:The procedure for restoring solvency has become available in the absence of arrears and property, but with a stable income. Out-of-court bankruptcy is now applied to obligations to all organizations that have claims under loan agreements, including microfinance and collection organizations.The application procedure has been simplified: there is no need to provide information about the creditor and the amount of debt, as well as attach documents.The procedure for calculating the non-repayment period has been clarified: payments of less than 1 MCI are not considered repayment, the period is calculated from the date of the last payment.Upcoming changesThe Parliament is considering amendments providing for:- exclusion of the requirement for debt settlement under loan agreements concluded before January 1, 2025;- the debtor's right to terminate the out-of-court bankruptcy procedure without giving reasons;- termination of all obligations of the bankrupt to financial institutions, including those not reflected in the database of credit bureaus, after the completion of the out-of-court bankruptcy procedure.These amendments are expected to be implemented by the end of this year.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/kgd-kyzylorda/press/news/details/1014999?lang=kk

Islamabad, June 5, 2025 – A meeting was held between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, and the Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications of Pakistan, H.E. Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja.During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the fields of digitalization and information technology.Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin emphasized that advocating the digital agenda and adopting advanced technologies are among the key priorities of Kazakhstan’s state policy. He expressed interest in establishing direct contacts between relevant agencies and IT companies of both countries, particularly in such areas as e-government (eGov) and the development of IT platforms.In the course of the conversation, the Ambassador briefed the Pakistani side on the outcomes of the 13th session of the Kazakhstan-Pakistan joint Intergovernmental Commission, held in Islamabad, and the business forum held in Karachi on April 28–29, 2025.
