October 1, 2025 is the deadline for payment of property tax 18.07.2025
The Department of State Revenue for the Mangystau region recalls that the deadline for paying the personal property tax for 2024 expires on October 1, 2025.In accordance with the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the personal property tax for 2024 is due no later than October 1, 2025. What is the object of taxation? The property tax in Kazakhstan in 2025 combines two taxes — the real estate tax and the land tax. The objects of taxation in this case will be:— Real estate. It can be more than just housing. There is also a tax on owned premises, garages, country houses, parking spaces.— Land plots. Please note that you do not pay tax for all types of land plots. The exceptions are specially protected areas, forest resources, and reserve lands. Lands that are occupied by common areas (parks, streets, roads) are not subject to taxation. Only those objects that are located on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan are subject to taxation.Taxpayers should take into account that in Kazakhstan there is also an income tax (the so—called tax on the sale of property) - for example, apartments, houses, parking spaces, vehicles, land, etc. The tax is paid by citizens who have sold real estate for more than they bought, provided that they have owned the property for less than a year (with the exception of property used for commercial purposes or land with a purpose other than residential housing, suburban construction, garage, gardening, personal housekeeping. Such a tax in Kazakhstan is paid on the increase in value, that is, it is charged not on the entire amount, but only on the profit received. The rate for residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan is 10%. The tax is calculated on the basis of information on the value of taxable objects determined by the Government for Citizens State Corporation and the actual period of ownership of them. The tax was calculated automatically, and the information was communicated to the owners, including through push notifications through the mobile applications of second—tier banks, as well as through the e—Salyq Azamat and eGov mobile applications.Important: Starting from October 2, 2025, individuals who have not fulfilled their tax obligations on time will be notified of tax arrears. If the amount owed exceeds 1 MCI, then after 30 working days from the date of delivery of the notification, an order for compulsory collection is issued, which is transferred to private bailiffs within 5 working days.Additional consequences:— collection of performance fees up to 25% of the debt amount;— seizure of bank accounts;— restrictions on travel outside the country. In order to avoid additional costs, sanctions and inconveniences, citizens are advised to pay the tax on time. You can pay the tax:— through the mobile applications of e—Salyq Azamat and second-tier banks;— on the e-government portaleGov.kz - as well as through ATMs and payment terminals using bank cards. Who doesn't need to pay taxes? In 2025, the land tax and real estate tax in Kazakhstan will not apply to the following categories of individuals: heroes of the Soviet Union; heroes of Socialist Labor; people who have been awarded state titles and awards; veterans of the Great Patriotic War. They are also exempt from payments:— Orphaned children, as well as children who have been left without parental care. Financial security of senior citizens: how not to become a victim of fraudsters 18.07.2025
Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market warns: senior citizens remain one of the most vulnerable groups in issues of financial fraud. This is due to their credulity, insufficient digital literacy and limited access to verified information.Fraudsters use various schemes: calls on behalf of banks, law enforcement agencies or relatives, messages about non-existent compensation, offers to take out loans or invest in "profitable" investments. Fraudsters call mobile or landline phones, as well as in messengers, pretending to be bank or police employees. They may claim that a suspicious transaction is allegedly being made from a bank account and convince to transfer money to a "safe account", install a remote access application or dictate codes from an SMS.Psychological pressure methods are often used, for example, calls with a message about an emergency that has happened to a relative. To protect against such actions, elderly people are recommended not to provide personal and banking information over the phone, including card number, its expiration date, CVV code, SMS codes and online banking logins. Never follow instructions of strangers, even if they introduce themselves as employees of official structures.Remember: banks, law enforcement agencies and government services never request personal data or financial information over the phone. If in doubt, it is recommended to end the conversation and seek advice from official authorities. It is important to remain calm, write down a name and a position of the calling person and call the organization back using the number indicated on the official website or on the back of the card. It is better to discuss all actions related to finances with close relatives or trusted persons.Relatives and friends of the elderly people are advised to regularly talk about typical fraud schemes, help them master safe use of digital services, install security software and update devices. More useful materials are available on the website Fingramota.kz. External Communications Directoratepress@finreg.kzSource : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/ardfm/press/news/details/1036623?lang=kk

UK Parliament opens a new chapter in cooperation with Central Asia 18.07.2025
London, 14 July 2025 – The UK Parliament hosted the inaugural meeting of the newly established All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on cooperation with the countries of Central Asia.APPGs are an important mechanism of parliamentary diplomacy in the United Kingdom. They contribute to strengthening international engagement, fostering cross-party dialogue, and sustaining interest in foreign policy matters at the parliamentary level. While such groups do not directly participate in the formulation of foreign policy strategy, their activities influence the development of approaches and priorities in the UK's relations with individual countries and regions. The Group is chaired by Labour MP Pam Cox and comprises representatives from across the political spectrum in both Houses of the UK Parliament. The formation of the APPG reflects growing interest among British parliamentarians in Central Asia – a region with a rich history, dynamic development, and significant potential for mutually beneficial cooperation. In this context, Kazakhstan stands out as the UK’s key strategic partner in Central Asia, having become the only country in the region to sign, in April last year, a landmark Strategic Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, which encompasses a broad range of areas for collaboration.During the inaugural meeting, participants discussed the Group’s future priorities, including the development of political and inter-parliamentary dialogue, the promotion of trade, economic and investment ties, and cooperation in areas such as energy, education, climate change mitigation, resilient supply chains, transport connectivity, humanitarian and cultural exchange, as well as thematic briefings. The establishment of the cooperation group marks a significant step in institutionalising parliamentary dialogue between the United Kingdom and the countries of Central Asia. It creates a new platform for constructive exchange of views and initiatives, highlighting the importance of intensifying dialogue with a region of strategic relevance in the context of global resilience, energy security, and the expansion of economic ties.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/mfa-london/press/news/details/1036522?lang=kk
