In the civil aviation sector, Kazakhstani airlines transported 14.7 million passengers last year, which is 11% (13.3 million) more than in 2023. Passenger service indicators at airports increased by 14% to 29.7 million people (26.1 million in 2023), cargo handling increased by 18% to 171 thousand tons (145 thousand in 2023). Road transport shows the greatest growth in freight transportation compared to other types of transport. The annual growth dynamics of export-import traffic is more than 20%, and transit traffic is about 40%. At the same time, transit traffic from China has increased by 2 or more times. Last year, we completely transferred permits with China and Uzbekistan to electronic format.
