The domestic manufacturer of household appliances Silk Road Electronics LLP has signed an agreement with Samsung and has been launching the production of televisions and washing machines of a well-known global brand since August of this year. The company has been operating for the second year, currently over 270 thousand units of equipment have been produced: televisions, mini-ovens, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, kitchen hoods, etc. The products are in high demand in the Kazakh market and in the CIS countries.- Cooperation with Samsung is a big stage in our development. Last year, we switched from a large-scale assembly to a small-scale one. Our production is full-cycle, with a high level of localization. We are launching a stamping workshop in 2026. From the middle of next year, all technologies will be launched, and localization will become even higher. Today, about 300 people are employed, and by 2028 we plan to increase the number of employees to 1,100. In the Karaganda region, on the basis of a new enterprise, Kazakhstan Hot-dip Galvanizing Plant LLP, it is planned to launch a cluster of industries using corrosion coating on manufactured products for stability and extended service life up to 50 years. In particular, a plant for the production of poles for high-voltage power lines will be opened.The management of Kazakhstan Hot-dip Galvanizing Plant LLP announced the completion of the technical stage of the enterprise's commissioning. The project is being implemented at the expense of own funds and debt financing from the Baiterek Foundation.- The total land area is 9 hectares, the production area is 6.5 thousand square meters. The planned number of employees is 115 people, the production capacity is 50 thousand tons of products per year. In the future, we are considering the possibility of expanding production to 70 thousand tons. It is also planned to develop a cluster of enterprises and open additional production facilities, which need hot-dip galvanizing at the last stage. The construction of three small industrial zones is scheduled to be completed in the Karaganda region this year. They will be located around the largest enterprises in the region. Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev said at a meeting on the development of single-industry towns that these zones are designed to stimulate the development of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as attract investment to the region.In addition, 22 projects with a total cost of 218 billion tenge have been identified to attract investors and support the development of single-industry towns.
