From Bureaucracy to Convenience: How Digitalization Improves Public Services 14.02.2025
“Government to citizens”, that is, the sphere of providing services to citizens, is also one of the important priorities. With the help of digital technologies, we intend to make the daily life of citizens as easy as possible and achieve equal opportunities for all,” - President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. In 2024, Kazakhstan achieved significant results in implementing the task of the Head of State. The normative and methodological foundations of digital transformation were developed, an expert base was formed, and large-scale reforms were launched in various areas. One of the main tools of digital transformation was the reorganization of business processes. As a result of the revision of more than 1,200 state processes, 468 business processes were optimized in 23 state bodies, which made it possible to reduce their execution time by an average of 45%.In particular, the reengineering of 98 processes in the Ministry of Agriculture led to a reduction in service time by 55%. In the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of National Economy, this indicator was 55% and 85%, respectively. The main achievement of the year was to increase the level of digitalization of public services. According to UN data, Kazakhstan entered the top 10 countries in the online services index and took 24th place out of 193 countries in terms of digitalization.Today, more than 93% of the population can access electronic services through the eGov portal. 90.8% of public services are available via smartphones. The introduction of biometric identification and QR-signatures has simplified the process of obtaining electronic services - over the year, Kazakhstanis signed more than 23 million documents using QR codes. Digital transformation in Kazakhstan is aimed at making public services more convenient, accessible and efficient. We would like to highlight several digital solutions that have shown real benefits for Kazakhstanis.Examples of digital solutions that have improved the lives of citizens:• The digital military ID card has completely replaced paper documents.• Online registration for kindergartens has made the process more transparent thanks to the voucher financing system.• The introduction of the "European Protocol" has reduced the period for receiving insurance payments from 40 to 5 days and made it possible to issue a CCA without the participation of the police.• Automation of enforcement proceedings has eliminated the involvement of private bailiffs, reducing the financial burden on citizens.• Digitization has simplified admission to kindergartens, schools, universities and hostels, as well as optimized processes in healthcare, social protection and registration services.By 2025, it is planned to reduce the term of 44 public services, transfer 20 public services to a proactive format It is planned to replace, as well as transform 35 public services. The results of digital transformation are already visible to millions of Kazakhstanis. Each project is aimed at increasing the convenience, transparency and accessibility of public services. Increasing the level of digitization improves access to education, healthcare and social services, making them more convenient and fair. Many public services are now available online, without queues and additional bureaucratic procedures. Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/mdai/press/news/details/933097

Made in the East Kazakhstan Region: "UKa Trubtech" began to develop a new direction 09.02.2025
The scope of the enterprise, which began operating last fall, is expanding. Today, another workshop was launched at the production site specializing in the production of polyethylene pipes.Let us recall that initially it was planned to produce only water and heating pipes from this enterprise. However, over time, the management of the enterprise, convinced that it would be possible to produce products for other purposes, took a new direction.According to the management of the enterprise, the additional workshop will produce three-layer pipes aimed at protecting cable systems in the energy sector.- We produce pipes with a diameter of up to 400 millimeters. For example, when it comes to water pipes, we are able to produce about 3,500 meters of pipes per day. Today we are starting work in another direction. The main advantage of our pipes for the energy sector is that they are made of fire-resistant materials. That is, such pipes do not burn. In addition, the outer layer of the pipe is designed to withstand various physical influences and high pressure. In general, we can produce 1,100 meters of such pipes per day, - says Tursynbek Musakhanov, Deputy General Director of UKa Trubtech LLP.According to the management of the enterprise, the plant is able to satisfy the demand not only of East Kazakhstan, but also of neighboring regions. The products are of high quality, and only modern technologies are used in production. It is worth noting that there are practically no other enterprises in our region working in this direction. In fact, there are only a handful of factories producing polyethylene pipes in our republic. The new enterprise will produce about 3,600 tons of products per year. In the future, it is planned to increase this figure to five thousand.- We have the capacity to fully cover our region with the necessary products. And in the future, we also intend to enter the markets of other regions of our republic. For this, it will be necessary to increase the volume of production. We are ready for such a step. In general, we plan to open additional workshops in the future and increase the number of our employees, - he says.At the same time, it should be noted that currently 25 people are employed at the production site.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/akimvko/press/news/details/930904
