Astana, July 3, 2025 – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Vassilenko received Ambassador of Latvia Irina Mangule on the occasion of the completion of her diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan.During the meeting, the diplomats reviewed the outcomes of their joint efforts, highlighting the positive dynamics in the development of Kazakh-Latvian relations across political, trade and economic, cultural, humanitarian and other areas. Astana, July 1, 2025 – Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi, who arrived in Astana on his first official visit.During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues pertaining to Kazakhstan-Moldova relations. In particular, they reviewed priority areas of political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, as well as cultural and humanitarian interaction. The sides also exchanged views on the calendar of joint events planned for the current year.Both parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties based on the principles of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation. The decision by Chișinău to open the Embassy of Moldova in Kazakhstan was welcomed as a tangible confirmation of the shared intent to advance bilateral relations. The parties underlined the historical significance of this milestone, reflecting the growing dynamics of Kazakhstan-Moldova cooperation.Minister Nurtleu emphasized that, thanks to the political will of the Heads of State, bilateral interaction has gained new momentum in recent years. “Kazakhstan and Moldova have traditionally maintained close and trusting relations built on mutual respect, which enables us to consistently deepen cooperation across all areas,” he noted.For his part, Minister Popşoi said that “Moldova is committed to consolidating the bilateral interaction in a long term perspective, counting on the expansion of strong and promising relations for the benefit of both countries’ citizens.”Special attention was paid to the expansion of trade and economic collaboration. Interest was expressed to continue the successful practice of interaction in the sphere of mutual investments on the example of long-term activity of Kazakh “Rompetrol” in Moldova and Moldovan dairy company “JLC Сүт” in Kazakhstan.The interlocutors agreed to pursue joint efforts to identify new areas of cooperation in agriculture, transport, industrial collaboration, and to explore opportunities in the digital economy, culture, and the humanitarian sphere.The ministers also “compared the notes” on pressing regional and global issues and reaffirmed their commitment to continue cooperation within international organizations. Astana, July 1, 2025 – Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu held a meeting with Almaz Alsenov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Harvest Group.The parties discussed the implementation of an investment project in the agricultural sector aimed at the gradual transfer of 300 thousand hectares of pasture and fallow lands into irrigated agricultural lands using groundwater and modern water-saving technologies. The project covers the Zhambyl, Almaty, Zhetysu, Aktobe, Pavlodar, Kyzylorda, and East Kazakhstan regions, with a total investment of 500 million US dollars in the first phase.Minister Nurtleu emphasized the importance of further promoting the project and expressed his readiness to provide government support. Об этом заявил заместитель Премьер-министра – министр национальной экономики Серик Жумангарин, выступая на IV Международной конференции ООН по финансированию развития, которая проходит с 30 июня по 2 июля 2025 года в городе Севилья (Королевство Испания). В мероприятии принимают участие делегации государств – членов ООН, включая глав государств и правительств более 40 стран, а также руководители международных организаций и ведущих финансовых институтов. Казахстанская делегация участвует в конференции при поддержке Посольства Республики Казахстан в Испании.Открытие конференции состоялось при участии Короля Испании Фелипе VI, который обратился к участникам с приветственным словом. В пленарной сессии также выступили Генеральный секретарь ООН Антониу Гутерриш и Премьер-министр Испании Педро Санчес.Выступая на пленарной сессии от имени Республики Казахстан, Серик Жумангарин обозначил ключевые вызовы, с которыми сталкивается современная глобальная экономика, и подчеркнул важность построения устойчивой финансовой архитектуры. По его словам, несмотря на общемировую тенденцию к сокращению государственных расходов, Казахстан намерен продолжить финансирование ключевых направлений, способствующих достижению Целей устойчивого развития - здравоохранения, образования, инфраструктуры и борьбы с бедностью.Вице-премьер также сообщил, что Казахстан будет наращивать потенциал Казахстанского агентства международного развития KazAid, как части глобальной системы финансирования ЦУР. Кроме того, он подчеркнул важность дальнейшего развития деятельности Регионального центра ООН по устойчивому развитию в Алматы, который уже стал региональной площадкой для продвижения повестки ЦУР.В ходе конференции Серик Жумангарин провёл ряд двусторонних встреч с главами иностранных делегаций, представителями международных организаций и испанского бизнеса, в рамках которых обсуждались вопросы устойчивого развития, экономического сотрудничества и привлечения инвестиций.По итогам пленарной сессии был принят ключевой итоговый документ - Севильское обязательство, направленный на формирование новой архитектуры устойчивого финансирования.
