They are distinguished by affordable prices (10-20% lower than comparable products), high quality, and cover all price segments from economy to premium.The SMALL&SKIF chain emphasizes collaboration with domestic manufacturers, which helps ensure quality, support local businesses, and create a unique offering for customers. Magnum's private label development has demonstrated impressive results: over five years, the share of such products in the chain's turnover has grown from 1.7% to 11.9%. The network works with 71 producers in 18 cities, developing a sustainable supply chain and strengthening its local presence.Representatives of industry associations, such as the Union of Potato and Vegetable Growers of Kazakhstan, the Association of Egg Producers of Kazakhstan, the Dairy Union of Kazakhstan, the Grain Union of Kazakhstan, the Association of Meat Processing Enterprises of Kazakhstan, and others, also expressed their positions. Participants expressed their willingness to act as reliable suppliers and provide the domestic market with stable supplies and the necessary product range, emphasizing their commitment to supporting the domestic retail network and developing sustainable supply chains.Meeting participants paid special attention to the provisions of the new Tax Code. In particular, preferential special regimes will be retained for trade and the agro-industrial complex, and the taxation procedure for agricultural producers with a fixed income has been simplified.The VAT rate has been reduced to 3% of income, while legal entities in the agricultural sector have a reduced VAT burden.The base VAT rate has been set at 16%, with small businesses operating under special regimes exempt from payment. Tax incentives for the self-employed and processors are also retained, including the possibility of deferring VAT on imported raw materials used for domestic production."If a business serves the public, provides simple services, and small-scale trade, the simplified tax system remains in place. However, if a business serves companies, works with government contracts, builds large facilities, or has a large turnover, that's a different matter. There must be comprehensive tax accounting. We also prioritized transparency. The opening ceremony of the bakery complex of the «Kyzylorda-Nan» partnership took place. Schools in Zhezkazgan continue an environmental initiative aimed at fostering a culture of waste separation. As part of the “Taza Qazaqstan” campaign and following the instruction of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to introduce a unified standard of environmental education, eco-boxes for separate collection of paper, plastic, and glass are being installed in educational institutions across the city.The project is implemented by Jasyl Damu JSC with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan. One of the schools where the eco-boxes have been installed is School No. 5 named after Kabden Shyngysov. Here, students are already actively sorting waste and sending it for recycling through the EcoQolday automated system, which connects citizens, waste collectors, and recyclers.In addition to installing eco-boxes, schools in the city are carrying out extensive environmental education activities. Teachers and volunteers successfully explain to students — in an engaging and accessible way — why it is important to separate waste, save resources, and care for the environment. Eco-lessons, interactive games, quizzes, and paper and plastic collection campaigns have been held, helping children put their knowledge into practice. Students show particular interest in examples of how recycled materials gain a “second life” — turning into furniture, decorative items, and elements of urban landscaping.A competition among schools has also been announced for collecting waste through the EcoQolday system. The educational institution that collects and sends the largest amount of waste for recycling will receive valuable prizes. Organizers note that such initiatives not only strengthen environmental culture but also develop a sense of collective responsibility, instilling in children the habit of caring for nature.The “Taza Qazaqstan” campaign has become an important step in promoting environmental education in the country. Aidar Abildabekov, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, met with Khurram Teshabayev, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.Uzbekistan remains one of Kazakhstan's priority trading partners in Central Asia. The two sides are consistently working to achieve the mutual trade target of $10 billion. From January to August 2025, trade turnover reached $3 billion, an 18.5% increase compared to the same period last year. Kazakhstan's exports totaled $2.2 billion, an increase of 26.7%, and the trade surplus reached $1.4 billion.An additional positive indicator was the expansion of Kazakhstan's high-value-added exports, including in metallurgy, petrochemicals, mechanical engineering, and agriculture. Uzbekistan has been presented with a list of 40 promising products worth over $550 million. Active work is underway to utilize export acceleration and trade finance tools, allowing companies to offer more competitive terms to their Uzbek partners.Particular attention is being paid to the joint implementation of investment projects. Thirty-four projects worth $4.4 billion and seven trade contracts worth $2.6 billion are currently under development.
