Four new schools for 2,700 students will be opened in Abay region by the end of 2025. In addition, it is planned to begin construction of another school this year.
The "Cozy School" project is aimed at ensuring equal opportunities for all children in the country, regardless of their place of residence. The new schools will pay special attention not only to technical equipment, but also to creating an environment conducive to the development of students' creative and intellectual abilities. Spacious classrooms with separate sanitary facilities are provided for children with special educational needs. Emergency exits, ramps and special directional signs are installed. Psychologists, speech therapists and defectologists work in each school. One of the main features of the new schools is the presence of recreation areas for students and teachers, equipped with upholstered furniture, books, musical instruments and board games. In addition, educational institutions are equipped with modern video surveillance systems that guarantee the safety of children.
In 2024, an IT school-lyceum for 1,200 places was built in Semey. This allowed us to significantly reduce the shortage of student places in the city. The school meets modern educational standards and is equipped with new technologies. The three-story building includes physics, chemistry, biology, computer science classrooms, multimedia classrooms, a graphics and modeling room, as well as laboratories, a television studio, smart classrooms, 3D printers and robotics rooms. The school has an assembly hall for 280 seats and a dining room for 420 seats.
“Four educational institutions have undergone major renovations and are equipped with 56 modern subject classrooms in robotics, chemistry, biology, physics and STEM subjects. The quality of roads in Kazakhstan has improved - National Center for Road Asset Quality 09.02.2025
At the government meeting, Bolatbek Aitbayev, Director General of the RSE "National Center for the Quality of Road Assets", reported on the work on the quality assessment of highways.He reported that at the end of 2024, the coverage of the enterprise with quality assessment was 100% for the republican highway network and 99% for the local network. About 47 thousand samples of road construction materials were subjected to laboratory testing. Instrumental inspections and diagnostics were carried out for 22 thousand kilometers of highways."In general, if we compare the results for 2023-2024, positive dynamics in the quality of roads are observed. In 2023, the coverage of the local network was 89%, and in 2024 it reached 99%. The number of non-conforming road construction materials and defects decreased by 16%. The number of rework of poor-quality works decreased to 5%. One of such solutions is a system for automatic recognition of road surface defects based on the principles of artificial intelligence. This made it possible to reduce the time for processing diagnostic data from 4 days to 4 hours for every 100 km.“A single portal for departmental expertise has been created in the company. It ensures transparency and control of business processes, as well as secure storage of documents.
