Kazakhstani farmers have introduced water-saving technologies on 158 thousand hectares of land: the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation spoke about the progress of implementing the Head of State's instructions 09.02.2025
According to the akimats, in 2024, Kazakhstani farmers introduced water-saving technologies to 158 thousand hectares of land. In particular, sprinkler irrigation systems that simulate natural rainfall were introduced to 56 thousand hectares of arable land, and drip irrigation systems that deliver water directly to the roots of plants were introduced to 44 thousand hectares.“I believe it is necessary to report to the public on how the tasks assigned to us are being fulfilled and our plans in this direction. I will publish the information in stages,” said Nurzhan Nurzhigitov, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation. The minister announced that about 58 thousand hectares of land had been leveled using a laser planner. Leveling of arable land allows for more even distribution of irrigation water, increasing irrigation efficiency. In 2024, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, increased the amount of subsidies for farmers to create the necessary infrastructure, purchase and install water-saving systems from 50% to 80%.In addition, farmers who use water-saving technologies today pay less for irrigation water. This is because the amount of subsidy for irrigation water when using water-saving systems has been increased to 85% depending on the tariff. And indicators for the introduction of water-saving technologies have been set for regional akimats. In turn, the akimats have developed and approved a plan for the introduction of water-saving systems in arable land until 2030.In general, according to the Kazakh Water Resources Research Institute, the use of water-saving technologies allows saving up to 30% of water.Today, four domestic factories producing sprinklers and drip irrigation equipment operate in Kazakhstan. At the same time, active work is also being carried out to attract foreign enterprises. For example, together with the Kazakh Invest national company, three projects are being implemented to launch the production of sprinkler irrigation machines in our country from two Turkish and one Chinese companies. In addition, this year, it is planned to open two factories for the production of drip irrigation equipment in the Turkestan region together with Chinese companies. Our ministry is also testing innovative water-saving technologies. For example, last year, the Hungarian Water-Retainer preparation was tested together with the country's leading research institutes. The test results showed a positive effect on water conservation and productivity increase for certain crops. According to preliminary data, the use of the drug allows saving water by about 20-37%, as well as improving productivity."The Head of State once again emphasized the need to introduce water-saving technologies at an expanded meeting of the Government. Earlier, in his Address to the Nation for 2023, the President set the task of introducing water-saving technologies on 150 thousand hectares of land in the country annually. The measures implemented by our ministry are aimed at achieving this result," said Nurzhan Nurzhigitov, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation. At the end of 2024, about 1.4 million people received social payments from the Social Insurance Institution of Ukraine. 09.02.2025
As of the end of 2024, approximately 1.4 million Kazakhstanis received social payments from the State Social Insurance Fund (hereinafter referred to as the SSF) for five social risks in the total amount of 958.3 billion tenge.
The social payment in case of loss of working capacity is assigned to participants in the compulsory social insurance system (hereinafter referred to as the system) in addition to the state social benefit for disability, which is paid at the expense of budget funds. Payment from the SSF is made during the period of loss of general working capacity of 30% to 100%, determined by a medical and social examination, and is not dependent on the continuation of labor activity.
In 2024, more than 102 thousand people received a payment in case of loss of working capacity in the amount of 46.6 billion tenge, which is 20% more than in 2023. The average monthly amount of the established payment was 60,407 tenge.
The social payment in case of loss of a breadwinner is assigned to dependents of a system participant at the expense of budget funds in addition to the state social allowance for loss of a breadwinner. Payment from the Social Security Fund is made until dependents reach the age of 18, and in the case of full-time education - until the age of 23.
During the reporting period, 67.9 thousand families who lost their breadwinners received the specified payment in the amount of 33.8 billion tenge, which is 26% more than in 2023. The average monthly amount of the established payment was 64,772 tenge.
The social payment in case of loss of a job from the Social Security Fund is assigned to a system participant regardless of the reason for his dismissal. The main condition for assignment is registration as unemployed. Depending on the length of participation in the system, payment is made for 1 to 6 months. Its amount depends on the average monthly income for which social transfers were made to the Social Insurance Institution in the last 2 years before registration as unemployed, and the length of participation in the system.
Last year, this payment was made in the amount of 88.2 billion tenge, which was received by 293.6 thousand people, which is 31% more than the number of recipients in 2023. The average monthly amount of the established payment was 81,500 tenge.
In the event of loss of income due to pregnancy and childbirth, adoption of a newborn child (children), the social payment is assigned for all days of pregnancy and maternity leave. The amount of the payment depends on the average monthly income for which social transfers were made to the Social Insurance Fund in the last 12 months before the maternity leave and the number of days of incapacity for work.
In 2024, 245.7 thousand expectant mothers received this lump-sum payment for a total of 385.6 billion tenge, which is 11% more than the amount paid in 2023. The average amount of the assigned payment was 1,621,299 tenge.
In the event of loss of income due to childcare for a child under one and a half years, a monthly social payment is assigned to the system participant from the date of birth of the child. The amount of the payment is 40% of the average monthly income for which social transfers were made to the Social Insurance Fund in the last 2 years. When two or more children are born, the payment is assigned separately for each child.
In 2024, this payment was assigned to 276.8 thousand people, and the average monthly payment was 86,758 tenge. In 2024, the total number of recipients of payments was 672.6 thousand people, and payments were made for 404.1 billion tenge, which is 1.4 times more than the amount in 2023.
Thus, the social protection of working citizens through participation in the mandatory social insurance system is much higher than that of non-working people.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/enbek/press/news/details/929441
It is planned to revive karting in Shakhtinsk 09.02.2025
This year, a new club for schoolchildren is planned to open in Shakhtinsk - auto-karting. The "Tarlan" project, developed for the Year of Working Professions, includes the opening of an auto-karting track. This will help young residents of Shakhtinsk not only get acquainted with technology, but also master skills that may be needed in the future.Currently, 15 specialized additional education clubs operate in the city of Shakhtinsk.— Our main task is to prepare children for adulthood. They should come to a decision on choosing a specialty based on the subjects and courses offered by educational institutions in grades 7-9, — believes the head of the education department of the city of Shakhtinsk, Nikolai Onsovich. — An analysis of the demographic situation in the region showed that boys predominate among students, so we decided to open another technical club and revive karting. Our city has been engaged in karting for more than 20 years, and there is a good base and experience for its development. In recent years, one of the most popular clubs among students in Shakhtinsk is driving. Those who engage in it are given documents that give the right to obtain a driver's license after reaching the age of 18. And karting should open up even more opportunities for early adaptation for schoolchildren.First of all, karting helps to study the basics of the dynamics and construction of cars. This knowledge will be useful to children, especially those who plan to study at technical universities. More than 50% of 11th grade graduates from Shakhtinsk enter Karaganda Technical University. The new karting track will be located on the basis of the Schoolchildren's Palace No. 2. The land issue has been resolved, funds have been allocated for the purchase of 10 karts and the necessary equipment. There are also specialists, as well as a base of eight garages. It is planned to repair the building, install a new fence and renew the surface of the track.Karting should return to Shakhtinsk, because this sport is always in demand, and interest in technical subjects is growing among students.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/karaganda/press/news/details/929388

"Cozy school" - opens up new opportunities for quality education and student health 09.02.2025
“Favourable conditions must be created for each student to receive education and develop comprehensively. For this purpose, the “Comfortable School” national project has been launched,” - Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2022, the Head of State, in his Address to the People of Kazakhstan, instructed to implement the “Comfortable School” national project. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to build 217 modern schools with a capacity of 460 thousand places by the end of 2025, of which 105 schools were built in 2024.The “Comfortable School” national project is aimed at providing children with the opportunity to receive free education that meets modern requirements, regardless of their place of residence. The initiative not only improves the material and technical base of comfortable schools, but also creates an environment that contributes to the development of children's creative and intellectual abilities.Comfortable schools are 15-20% larger in size than standard schools, and their technical equipment is 4 times better. The schools have robotics labs, STEM laboratories, choreography halls, coworking areas, 4 gyms, and special open areas for initial military training. Elementary and high school students study in separate blocks. The main comfort in comfortable schools is the creation of ergonomic space. In comfortable schools, special attention is paid to inclusive education. Spacious classrooms with separate bathrooms are provided for children with special educational needs. In addition, the schools have elevators, ramps, special signs, psychologist, speech therapist and defectologist offices. The peculiarity of a comfortable school is that in each block you can see recreation areas for students and teachers. There are upholstered furniture, books, musical instruments and board games. Schools will also be equipped with modern video surveillance and access control systems. One of the main objectives of the project is to provide qualified teaching staff who are familiar with new technologies and methods in the educational process. In addition, 422 schools for 510 thousand students have been built in the country, achieving a record number. This solved the problem of 32 emergency and 71 three-shift schools, eliminating the shortage of student places in 200 schools across the country. The construction of 89 schools with a capacity of about 100 thousand students was financed through the Education Infrastructure Support Fund.In 2024, more than 80 thousand teachers underwent free advanced training courses. In order to solve the problem of the shortage of student places, three-shift teaching and emergency schools, as well as to reduce the difference in the quality of educational infrastructure between cities and villages, initiatives are being actively implemented in the country to build and renovate schools. In 2025, about 200 schools with a capacity of 300 thousand will be built.“It is important to develop rural schools as intellectual and social centers. "It is not for nothing that it is said that there is life in a village with a school," - Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. On the instructions of the Head of State, 1,000 district and rural schools are being renovated annually.Today, 67% (5,236 schools) of secondary education organizations are district and rural schools, of which 4,000 schools have been renovated.Over the next three years, it is planned to renovate 1,231 schools in all regions of the country, including 820 schools located in rural areas. Renovation will allow improving the material and technical base of schools, introducing innovative educational technologies, and improving the qualifications of teachers. These measures will also solve the problem of mass migration of the population from their native places to cities.Additional jobs are being created in all regions of the country through the construction of new educational facilities, which will contribute to improving the social and economic situation and developing the construction industry in general. Since 2024, about 5,000 teachers have been employed in newly built schools.Another important direction of the national project is to support Kazakhstani producers of goods and services. All furniture for new schools will be supplied by domestic enterprises. This will contribute to strengthening the national economy and creating new jobs for Kazakhstani producers, economic stability in the country, and the development of local industry.Modern-format schools will pave the way for all Kazakhstani children to receive quality education in an accessible, comfortable, and safe environment. In Kazakhstan, the problem of 32 emergency and 71 three-shift schools has been resolved in two years, and the shortage of student places in 200 schools across the country has been eliminated. This was facilitated by a record number of schools commissioned during this time - 422 schools with half a million student places were built.Currently, there are about 8,000 secondary education organizations in the country. Over the past 10 years, the number of students has increased by more than 1 million children, reaching 3.9 million. In order to solve the problem of the shortage of student places, three-shift education and emergency schools, as well as to reduce the difference in the quality of educational infrastructure between cities and villages, a number of initiatives are being actively implemented in the country to build and renovate schools.“The construction of schools is being carried out within the framework of the national project “Comfortable School”, at the expense of the republican and local budgets, through the Fund for Financial Support of Educational Infrastructure and at the expense of private investors. This year, about 200 schools with 300 thousand places will be built in the country. These measures will allow us to completely eliminate the shortage of student places by 2026,” says Roza Sembayeva, Director of the Infrastructure Development Department. In order to improve the infrastructure of secondary education institutions, 464 schools underwent major repairs in 2023-2024. In the spring of 2024, 35 facilities damaged by floods were restored. 2,039 schools were equipped with 3,130 modern subject classrooms (robotics, chemistry, biology, physics, STEM).It should be noted that the state is taking comprehensive measures to open new student places and create comfortable conditions for children. This will not only develop the educational infrastructure in all regions of the country, but also increase children's access to quality education.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/edu/press/news/details/929525
