The XXV International Conference of the International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers, which took place from November 17 to 21, ended in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.During the Conference, important changes in the Position of the competition, as well as new approaches to the selection of the judiciary, were discussed. Special attention was paid to the training of judges, their training and certification, in order to ensure a high level of professionalism. The main judging commissions for international competitions and World Championships in 2025 have been approved.The readiness of the city of Riyadh to host the XX World Championship among men and the XI World Championship among women in fire and rescue sports at the end of October 2025 was also confirmed. The organizers presented plans to improve infrastructure, safety and comfort for participants and spectators. The territorial divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are actively working to improve fire safety in the residential sector. In Zhambyl region, special attention is paid to socially vulnerable segments of the population, where 3,957 families belonging to this category live.Two months of fire safety were organized during the year. As part of preventive measures, rescuers visited 12,586 residential buildings, instructed 27,689 people to comply with fire safety rules during the heating season, and also held 293 meetings with the participation of 3,516 residents of the region.Since June 1, 2024, 1,722 sensors have been installed in the homes of socially vulnerable families.In the period from November 6 to November 14, in Sarysu, Talas and Zhualy districts, together with local executive bodies, work was carried out to install carbon monoxide sensors and clean heating stoves. Memos were distributed in the residential sector and detailed safety instructions were provided."In order to digitalize, the Department of Emergency Situations is working on placing QR codes in crowded places.
