National dishes for Kazakhs are not just a festive dastarkhan. Traditional products like kazy, kymyz, kurt, and baursaks are part of everyday life. Today, this gastronomic culture is gradually expanding beyond the country's borders and becoming part of Kazakhstan's export potential. According to estimates by QazTrade experts, with systematic support, the export of Kazakh national products could reach 50–80 million US dollars by 2028. Key markets - Russia and China Russia and China remain among the key markets for Kazakhstan's national products, where more than 2 million representatives of the Kazakh diaspora reside. This creates a stable demand for traditional products. On the Russian market, kurt and kumys are particularly popular. Such products are already being supplied to China, although volumes remain small for now. "Nomadic Gastronomy" as a new export brand This refers to an entire direction increasingly called "nomadic gastronomy" - the cuisine of steppe culture, based on natural meat and dairy products. About the planned launch of the "Declaration of Goods" functionality of the KEDEN information system, the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) continues to work on the phased implementation of the KEDEN customs IP. The next stage is the launch of the "Declaration of Goods" (DT) functionality. In this regard, since November 2025, the Committee has been conducting joint testing of the DT functionality with users of the system. Currently, 5,737 users have been registered in the productive environment of the KEDEN IP, and the process of declaring goods for more than 3,200 items has been tested. Over 1,500 customs representatives and declarants have been trained offline and online during the joint testing period. As a result of the work carried out, more than 500 comments were eliminated and 69 proposals were accepted. A phased launch of the DT functionality is planned from March 28, 2026, while the full cycle of customs declaration using DT in the KEDEN IP will be carried out from April 10, 2026. As part of the implementation of the “Law and Order” concept, the Department of criminally-executive system in the North Kazakhstan Region, in cooperation with the regional prosecutor’s office, the city prosecutor’s office of Petropavlovsk, and the Department of Education, organized a preventive event in the format of a teleconference between students and inmates serving sentences in correctional institutions.More than 1,500 students and school pupils participated in the event. Ottawa, March 26, 2026 – An expert roundtable dedicated to the adoption of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the prospects for the development of Kazakhstan-Canada relations was held at the Senate of the Parliament of Canada. The event brought together representatives of Canada’s political, parliamentary, and analytical communities.Opening the roundtable, Senator Clement Gignac emphasized the importance of strengthening interparliamentary dialogue between Kazakhstan and Canada, reaffirming Canada’s interest in expanding comprehensive cooperation with Astana in both political and economic spheres.Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Canada Duletbek Kusainov briefed participants on the current state of bilateral economic cooperation, as well as on the ongoing reforms in the country.Special attention was given to the discussion of the constitutional reform and the results of the constitutional referendum held on March 15 of this year.
