The international sniper competition “Sharp Blade” has concluded in Ürümqi, China, bringing together around 60 sniper pairs from 18 countries. The National Guard team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan demonstrated a strong and confident performance, securing 6th place in the overall team standings — reaffirming the high level of training of Kazakh snipers.A special highlight of the tournament was the achievement of the soldier with the callsign Tarzan, who became the only participant in the history of the competition to win the legendary “Blade” exercise three times — in 2018, 2023, and 2025.The competition featured some of the most challenging practical exercises designed to closely simulate real combat scenarios — from precision shooting and tactical maneuvers to hostage rescue operations and field fortification building. At the peak of summer, the southern regions of the country have been hit by intense heat. Residents are heading en masse to the nearest bodies of water suitable for swimming. Among the most popular spots are the Kapchagai Reservoir, located near the city of Konaev, and the artificial Sairan Lake in central Almaty.The presence of families with small children at the beaches is of particular concern. In just one day, National Guard servicemen prevented three incidents involving children who had gone missing without supervision in crowded recreational areas.At the Kapchagai Reservoir, servicemen of military unit 3660 found two children left unattended. Both were safely reunited with their parents.In one case, a distressed woman approached the commander of the patrol detail, Private Azamat Baigul, in the evening. She reported that she had lost sight of her twelve-year-old son and feared he might have drowned. Private Baigul immediately organized a search operation, involving his fellow servicemen — Privates Aybek Tagaykhan and Bakhbergen Säripbek. The boy was found on the opposite side of the beach and returned to his mother.In another incident, a woman approached squad commander Private Kanafia Äbdikärim and reported that she had put her four-year-old daughter down for a nap but later could not find her. The commander promptly relayed the information to the patrol group. Thanks to the coordinated efforts and attentiveness of Privates Alibi Aidarkhan and Erzhegit Batyrbek, the girl was found and reunited with her parents.Later that same evening, a report came in about a five-year-old boy who had gone missing along the shore of Sairan Lake. Servicemen of military unit 5571 — patrol commander Private Abzal Imankulov, along with Privates Zhanbolat Musa and Sherkhan Zhusekeev — quickly located the child and handed him over to his mother.“In recent times, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of children getting lost on beaches. We urge all vacationers to remain extremely vigilant, especially when accompanied by children. Under no circumstances should small children be left unsupervised. The responsibility for a child’s safety lies, first and foremost, with the parents. In order to promote the tourist potential of Shymkent, special information corners have been opened in Ust-Kamenogorsk and Borovoye. This event aims to introduce the tourism opportunities of Shymkent to residents and guests of Borovoye and Ust-Kamenogorsk. At the information corners, visitors can get detailed information about Shymkent's historical and cultural sites, entertainment centers, hotels, restaurants, and tourist services. In 2024, a total of 10 kilometers of sidewalks were constructed on the inner streets of the Enbekshi district of Shymkent. In addition, the sidewalks along Tauke Khan Avenue were reconstructed. KIA'S PLANT IN KOSTANAY IS READY TO START: KIA CORPORATION EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT ARRIVES FOR INSPECTIONThe new KIA automobile plant is one of the largest industrial projects in Kazakhstan, the largest construction site in the history of domestic engineering.Today, the Kostanay KIA plant has passed an important final control point. The company was specially visited today by Executive Vice President of KIA Corporation Jong Junchul, who oversees all production facilities of the company worldwide.The visit of the first executive Vice president of KIA Corporation to Kostanay region emphasized the importance of this stage: he personally checked the readiness of the enterprise.The plant was built in record time: construction began in the fall of 2023. In 2025, it is planned to provide 9,693 children with summer vacations in July-August from the local budget in Shymkent. This initiative is aimed at providing children belonging to 5 social categories with health and effective recreation in accordance with Resolution No. 64 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
