Let's say NO to human trafficking! 28.04.2025
Human trafficking is a global problem that affects the lives of millions of people in every country in the world and deprives them of their human dignity. As one of the most shameful crimes in the world, human trafficking misleads and victimizes women, men and children, and forces them to be exploited on a daily basis. How to avoid becoming a victim of human trafficking? When traveling abroad, including on a tourist trip, you need to carefully prepare and check whether everything has been done so that you do not encounter problems that could have been avoided. The language barrier, different legislation, ignorance of the most important traditions and customs of the host country, as well as basic precautions not taken on time before the trip – all this can make your stay difficult and entail consequences that are dangerous for both your material and physical safety.Who might be at risk?* Young women, especially those with low education; * unemployed; * persons engaged in the provision of paid sexual services; * Low-income people; * migrants; * unemployed persons without a fixed place of residence; * children from disadvantaged families, orphans. * Socially vulnerable families, low-income families; * large families; * Single mothers. In order to protect yourself and your relatives, friends and acquaintances from the risk of getting into a situation of human trafficking, you need to know and follow some recommendations.:1. You should not trust anyone with your passport. Identification documents should always be with you only (if they are requested for registration, job registration, etc., let these services be performed in person).2. Avoid tempting offers from random or familiar people about work, study, or marriage abroad. 3. If you are going to find a job abroad, find out if the company that helps you find a job has the appropriate license. Study the contract that you are signing. It should specify the working and living conditions, salary and medical insurance. Check which visa is being issued to you.4. When you leave for work, inform your friends and family about where you are going and for how long. Leave them the addresses and phone numbers of the planned places of residence. Specify when you will contact them. It is advisable to take with you: copies of documents (in case the originals are taken away from you), money (to return home as soon as possible, if necessary), phone numbers of embassies, hotlines, emergency services, etc.).And remember, if you, your relatives, friends and acquaintances are affected by this situation or you wish to report a crime of human trafficking, please contact 102 or the unified helpline 116 16.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/kostanai-bmalin-audany-akimat/press/news/details/984191?lang=kk
