London, February 25, 2026 - As part of his visit to London, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev took part in a roundtable meeting with representatives of the British business community. National Guard Soldier Develops a Digital Portal for Servicemen 26.02.2026
As part of the course toward digitalization and the development of artificial intelligence outlined by the Head of State, the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan is consistently implementing modern technological solutions. Another step in this direction has been realized at Military Unit 5573, where a conscript serviceman, Private Kim Hyun-Woo, developed an information portal.The new digital resource is aimed at optimizing the unit’s operations and has already made it possible to automate a number of service processes, significantly reducing time costs.The author of the project, Private Kim Hyun-Woo, is a native of Almaty. He studied information technology and is successfully applying the knowledge he acquired in his military service. In the future, he plans to obtain an educational grant under the “Srochnik 2.0” program to further improve his professional skills.It was precisely his professional competencies and interest in digital solutions that enabled him to become involved in improving the internal processes of the military unit. Under the supervision of senior officers, Private Kim analyzed the unit’s activities to identify areas requiring digital solutions. The study revealed that particular attention needed to be paid to improving the information exchange system.As a result, important information that was previously communicated mainly during formation assemblies is now promptly published via the portal. This has simplified document management, ensured timely updates of orders, and kept data current.Special attention was also given to the work of the psychological service. With the assistance of Kim Hyun-Woo, an algorithm for the automated processing of test results of conscript servicemen was developed. According to military psychologists, the implemented solution has saved approximately 500 working hours in just six months.— The army has become a school of resilience for me. Military Unit 5573 has created all the conditions necessary for conscript servicemen. Thanks to discipline and high standards, there are broad opportunities for self-development. I intend to make the most effective use of my year of service by mastering new professional skills, — the guardsman noted.In the future, the serviceman plans to continue introducing digital solutions aimed at improving the efficiency of combat service organization. The main goal is to increase the speed of processes and create more comfortable conditions for servicemen of the law-enforcement forces. В рамках объявленного Главой государства Года цифровизации и искусственного интеллекта в Казахстане продолжается последовательная трансформация государственных услуг и перевод наиболее востребованных сервисов в онлайн-формат.Казахстанцы получат возможность с апреля текущего года заменить водительское удостоверение через портал eGov.kz и мобильное приложение eGov Mobile даже после окончания срока его действия. Ранее услуга предоставлялась онлайн только при наличии действующего документа, а также в случае его утраты, кражи или смены ФИО. Теперь она расширена и охватывает случаи, когда срок действия удостоверения истек.Нововведение распространяется на все категории водительских прав. При замене водительского удостоверения после истечения срока его действия требуется обязательное прохождение медосмотра для допуска к управлению транспортным средством.У пользователей, прошедших медосмотр, в момент подачи заявки сведения загрузятся автоматически из государственных информационных систем. В то же время, если пользователь обновляет права заранее (до окончания срока их действия), прохождение медосмотра не требуется. Срок оказания услуги составляет 60 минут.Чтобы воспользоваться услугой на портале eGov.kz, пользователю необходимо:авторизоваться на портале eGov.kz и перейти в раздел «Гражданам» – «Транспорт и коммуникации» – «Автомобильный транспорт»;выбрать услугу «Выдача водительских удостоверений»;указать ЦОН для получения готового документа и загрузить фото (ознакомиться с требованиями к фотографии);загрузить образец подписи и указать контактный телефон;оплатить государственную пошлину (1,25 МРП). С полным перечнем требований можно ознакомиться в паспорте услуги на портале eGov.kz.Также доступна возможность использовать фотографию из ранее выданного удостоверения личности или паспорта. В этом случае документ, из которого берется изображение, должен быть выдан не более трех лет назад. Если срок превышает три года, система предложит загрузить актуальное фото вручную.В процессе подачи заявления стоит учитывать, что в отдельных случаях данные документа пользователя могут быть не оцифрованы в государственных информационных системах. В таком случае отобразится соответствующее уведомление, и для обновления данных может потребоваться личное обращение в ЦОН.Кроме того, система проводит автоматическую проверку на наличие задолженностей. Visit to the Headquarters of Air Canada 26.02.2026
23 February 2026, Montreal. Members and Observers of the ICAO Air Navigation Commission visited the headquarters of Air Canada. Kazakhstan holds observer status within the Commission.During the visit, the airline’s management and subject-matter experts provided an overview of the carrier’s operations, its flight safety priorities, the organization of aircraft maintenance, and the implementation of advanced digital solutions.Presentations were delivered by Mr. Benoît Lecours, Senior Director, Regulatory Compliance and Training at Air Canada, and Mr. Kristopher Wong, Boeing Fleet Engineer. They briefed participants on the Fatigue Risk Management Program and the Boeing Aircraft Health Monitoring system, which analyses data relating to the technical condition of aircraft.The participants also visited the airline’s maintenance hangar. The delegation reviewed the organization of maintenance activities and aircraft condition monitoring procedures.A demonstration was provided of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) operated via tablet devices. These are used to conduct visual inspections of aircraft surfaces before and after flights; detect microscopic damage to the fuselage, wing components, and tail section; monitor the condition of ailerons; and inspect aircraft following de-icing operations.The use of drones significantly reduces inspection time, enhances the accuracy of defect detection, and mitigates human factor risks.Air Canada, established in 1937 and headquartered in Montreal, is Canada’s largest airline. The company operates scheduled and charter passenger and cargo services to more than 200 destinations worldwide. He graduated from East Kazakhstan State University with a degree in Kazakh Language and Literature, and from the Kazakh Academy of Labor and Social Relations with a degree in Law.He began his professional career in the internal affairs bodies, advancing from a junior officer to senior leadership positions. He worked in divisions specializing in the investigation of property crimes and crimes against individuals.He later continued his career within the system of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken,” where he was engaged in protecting business rights and reducing administrative barriers. He headed regional branches of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs in the Almaty and Zhetysu regions. The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Mexico and the Friendship Group in the Chamber of Deputies of the General Congress of Mexico signed an Action Plan to expand cooperation for 2026.The document covers a wide range of areas aimed at enhancing interaction, including the development of political and interparliamentary dialogue, economic and cultural diplomacy, cooperation in the fields of technology, innovation, artificial intelligence, sustainable development, and others.One of the concrete steps includes the intention to organize an exchange of visits between parliamentarians.
