Kazakhstan conducts training for Central Asian civil servants in the field of digitalizationAstana, 25–27 August 2025 — Kazakhstan Agency of International Development «KazAID» under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in cooperation with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), is holding a seminar as part of the Dostyk – Digitalization programme, which was launched in 2024.The event is attended by civil servants from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Malaysia Bulat Sugurbayev had a meeting with the Chairman of the Sabah Tourism Board YB Datuk Joniston Bangkuai to discuss prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of tourism and culture. Abandoning direct price regulation and moving to targeted social support - implementing the 2024 Presidential Address To implement the President's instructions, amendments and additions were made to the legislation regulating business in April 2024. "In accordance with these changes, we will abandon direct regulation of prices for socially important goods and move to targeted social assistance. The mechanism for introducing price caps for socially important goods will be eliminated in order to strengthen control over the 15% trade markup," — noted the Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliev. Today, a pilot project called "Digital Food Voucher" is being implemented in Kazakhstan, which will allow recipients to purchase socially significant goods at the purchase price without a trade mark-up, ensuring targeted and fair distribution of assistance.
