There are also positive results in agriculture. This year, crops were sown on 23 thousand hectares. Despite the unfavorable weather, farmers harvested about 66 thousand tons of produce. This year, 863 million tenge was allocated from the local budget for crop production and 1.1 billion tenge for livestock farming. Investment projects are also being implemented. SHYMKENT – Abay district akim Sultankhan Shakir Asylkhanuly made an extensive report on the main socio-economic achievements and ongoing projects of the district for the first six months of 2025 at a press conference.
