As a result of the joint work of the Department of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology in the Abay region with the Department of State Revenues, unsafe household appliances posing a threat to consumers were exported from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.Violations were identified during the import of products for which declarations of conformity were provided for a tabletop electric stove.After conducting laboratory tests of the tabletop electric stove, it was revealed that with a declared nominal power of 3500 W, the actual power was only 1960 W, which is almost 44% below the norm. In addition, experts recorded discrepancies in the parameters of the AC power ports. There was also no information for consumers in the state language.Such deviations not only violate the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union TR CU 004/2011 "On the safety of low-voltage equipment", but also create real risks for consumers, infringe on their rights. Unstable operation of the device can lead to overheating, failure of internal elements and even fire. The servicemen of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan once again demonstrated their readiness to provide assistance.
