The event «Shadows of the Past: History Lessons for New Generations» was held in the EKR Museum-Reserve, dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repression and Famine in Kazakhstan for senior students of Gymnasium No. 38 named after Lev Gumilyov. During the event, students learned about the life and work of significant representatives of the Kazakh intelligentsia, such as Akhmet Baitursynov, Saken Seyfullin, Turar Ryskulov, Beimbet Mailin, Ilyas Zhansugurov, Sanzhar Asfendiyarov, Mirzhakyp Dulatov, who made a huge contribution to the development of the Kazakh people. The participants of the event emphasized the importance of tolerance in society, strengthening public harmony and national unity. A fragment of the film «M. Kuala Lumpur, May 27, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Malaysia H.E. Bulat Sugurbaev met with Malaysia’s Minister of National Unity, YB Dato Sri Aaron Ago Dagang.The in-depth discussion focused on shared experiences as well as evolving approaches and trends in promoting national unity and fostering interethnic and interfaith harmony of both countries. The discussion emphasized the common mechanisms each country has put in place to uphold national unity: the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, a unique institution uniting representatives of all ethnic groups in the country, plays a significant role in promoting peace and harmony.Additionally, Kazakhstan’s international initiative to hold regular Congresses of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Astana,  a platform promoting interfaith dialogue at the international level, was also discussed.
