Religious leaders in Lebanon have expressed support for the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which is held in Astana.      Recovery of tax arrears may be enforced against funds held in the bank accounts of a taxpayer’s debtors if the taxpayer fails to settle tax arrears exceeding the established threshold amount after compulsory recovery measures have been taken against the funds held in the taxpayer’s own bank accounts.A debtor is understood to mean an individual, a legal entity, a structural subdivision of a legal entity, a non-resident carrying out activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan through a permanent establishment, an individual entrepreneur, or a person engaged in private practice that owes money to the taxpayer.The tax authority shall send the debtor a notice requesting confirmation of the accounts receivable.The debtor shall submit to the tax authority, in paper or electronic form, a reconciliation statement of mutual settlements prepared jointly with the taxpayer and/or, where it is impossible to prepare such a reconciliation statement as of the date of receipt of the notice, documents confirming the mutual settlements with the taxpayer.If the notice requesting confirmation of the amount of accounts receivable is not complied with, the tax authority shall:conduct a tax audit of the debtor; andissue an order to suspend debit transactions on the debtor’s bank accounts within one business day following the expiry of the deadline for complying with the notice.The tax authority shall issue collection orders to the debtor’s bank accounts for the amount of the taxpayer’s tax arrears within the limits of the confirmed accounts receivable, as evidenced by one of the following documents:a reconciliation statement of mutual settlements;a tax audit report confirming the amount of the accounts receivable; ora court decision that has entered into legal force.Collection orders issued against the debtor’s bank accounts shall be withdrawn once the taxpayer’s tax arrears have been settled by either the taxpayer or the debtor.   Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/kgd-astana/press/news/details/1263995?lang=ru

Anthrax is one of the most dangerous infectious diseases of animals and humans with a very high mortality rate.The causative agent of anthrax is a spore–forming bacterium that is resistant to the environment. The spore forms of the microbe tolerate cold and heat very well and survive in the soil for up to 100 years or more. Boiling kills the spores of the anthrax microbe only after 45-60 minutes.The source of the pathogen is a sick animal, excreta of sick animals (feces, urine, bloody discharge from natural openings), as well as areas of soil infected with anthrax spores and other environmental objects.In animals, anthrax occurs in the form of an intestinal form, accompanied by bloody discharge from the anus and nose, fever, decreased appetite.In humans, it manifests itself in the form of intestinal, pulmonary and cutaneous forms. Infection occurs when the pathogen enters through damaged skin or mucous membranes of the eyes, mouth, nose.From the moment of infection to the manifestation of the disease, it passes  from a few hours to 8 days, usually 2-3 days. At the site of the pathogen's introduction, a red spot appears, similar to an insect bite. A regular meeting of the Economic Growth Headquarters was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin.Meeting participants focused on the development of non-oil sectors, which remain key drivers of economic growth despite the temporary decline in oil production. These sectors include construction, manufacturing, trade, transportation, and agriculture. Construction continues to show the highest growth rates. By the end of the seven months, a further increase in construction volumes and continued strong growth in the sector are expected. The highest growth rates are projected for Ulytau, Abay, and Kyzylorda regions.Manufacturing also demonstrated strong growth, with production volume increasing by 9.8%. The main contributors were mechanical engineering (+23.2%), chemical industry (+19.0%), food production (+14.7%), and light industry (+89.2%). Similar growth rates are expected to be maintained by the end of the seven months.The positive trend in trade also continues. According to the results of the first half of the year, trade turnover reached 36.2 trillion tenge, and the trade volume index was 105.7%. To further expand the industry, regions have been instructed to implement trade development roadmaps, which provide for the launch of new investment projects. In the transport sector, it has been noted that, despite an overall increase in transportation volumes, growth rates are being constrained by a decline in oil and gas transportation. In this regard, Serik Zhumangarin instructed that the country's transit potential be maximized, primarily by rail and road.Sustainable growth in agriculture is expected by the end of the seven months. An increase in food and beverage production is also projected. This positive trend is being driven by the harvesting campaign, the development of livestock farming, and record levels of concessional financing for the agro-industrial complex. Dairy farms, whose construction was financed under preferential terms in 2024–2025 and which are now reaching their design capacity, are beginning to make a significant contribution to the industry's growth. This is already reflected in an increase in milk production. In the first half of 2026, milk production reached 1.9 million tons, an increase of 2.4% compared to the same period in 2025. Summing up the meeting, Serik Zhumangarin emphasized that Kazakhstan continues to implement large-scale infrastructure projects that are expected to ensure long-term economic growth."In this regard, it is essential to begin preparing high-quality projects now that will ensure long-term economic impact and are consistent with the system of regional standards: healthcare and social facilities, with a particular focus on bridges, crossings, key transport arteries, and energy facilities financed from the national budget. Jarash, July 23, 2026 – A concert by the “Arqa Sazy” Folklore Ensemble and the “Aqqu” Folk and Choreographic Ensemble of the Kali Baizhanov Karaganda Concert Association was held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as part of the 40th Anniversary Jarash Festival of Culture and Arts.The performance was organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Embassy of Kazakhstan to Jordan, the Ministry of Culture of Jordan, and the Jarash Festival of Culture and Arts Directorate.The concert took place at the Hippodrome Theatre in Jarash City, one of the festival's main venues, which annually hosts renowned performers and artistic groups from around the world. Busan, 25 July 2026 – Today, at the 48th session of the World Heritage Committee, ongoing in Busan, Republic of Korea, a decision was adopted to inscribe the “Rock Mosques and Associated Sacred Sites of Mangystau” on the UNESCO World Heritage List.The newly inscribed UNESCO World Heritage property comprises five rock-cut mosques: Beket Ata, Shopan Ata, Qaraman Ata, Shaqpaq Ata and Sultan Epe.The decision represents international recognition of the Outstanding Universal Value of this complex of historical and cultural monuments in western Kazakhstan, which developed over many centuries and demonstrates how spiritual traditions and practices were adapted, through local architecture, to the region’s distinctive natural environment and geological features.In March 2024, at the National Constituent Assembly meeting in Atyrau, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the competent bodies, together with the National Commission for UNESCO and ISESCO Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to work on the inscription of the Mangystau Rock Mosques on the World Heritage ListThe delegation of Kazakhstan to the Committee session is headed by Erlan Karin, Chairperson of the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ICESCO and First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For this reason, many pilgrims also make a point of visiting this mosque, together with the surrounding necropolis and wells.The Qaraman Ata complex is one of the largest sacred centres in the region and includes an underground mosque and an extensive historic necropolis. For centuries, it has remained an important centre of religious life and spiritual guidance. Carved into chalk rock, the Shaqpaq Ata Mosque is one of the oldest in Kazakhstan. Its unique cruciform layout, rich decorative features and numerous epigraphic monuments bear witness to the rich spiritual and artistic culture of medieval Mangystau. Sultan Epe has long been venerated as the patron of travellers and sailors. Located near the coast of the Caspian Sea, the mosque bearing his name served for centuries as a place of pilgrimage and spiritual support for local communities and merchants travelling along overland and maritime trade routes.With the inscription of the sacred sites of Mangystau, Kazakhstan now has seven properties on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Astana will host Games of the Future 2026 (GOTF 2026) Powered by Samruk-Kazyna from 29 July to 9 August 2026. Purpose of the Competition “Kazakhstan Through My Eyes” is an online art competition for ethnic Kazakh children living abroad.The competition aims to encourage participants to creatively express their vision of Kazakhstan, their love for their homeland, its historical and cultural heritage, natural beauty, national values, and aspirations for the future.The main objectives of the competition are:To strengthen the spiritual connection of ethnic Kazakh children living abroad with Kazakhstan;To promote the culture and national values of Kazakhstan;To develop the creative abilities of young artists;To identify and support talented ethnic Kazakh children;To foster love and appreciation for their historical homeland. II. To confirm Kazakh ethnicity and foreign citizenship, participants must submit a copy of their passport together with their artwork.Submitted artwork must correspond to the theme “Kazakhstan Through My Eyes.”When submitting an entry, participants must provide the following:Personal information (full name, citizenship, school and grade, contact number);A self-introduction video of no more than 2 minutes explaining themselves and their artwork;A video recording of the drawing process, no longer than 3 minutes, to confirm authorship of the artwork, as well as several additional artworks created by the participant.Entries will be accepted until August 28, 2026, via email at oqbaiqau@gmail.com. III. Artwork Requirements The competition accepts digital versions of hand-drawn artworks created on paper.Participants may use any traditional art materials and tools, including:Pencil;Colored pencils;Markers;Watercolor paints;Gouache;Oil paints;Pastels;Charcoal;Acrylic paints;Gel pens;Other artistic drawing materials.Artwork may cover the following themes:Nature of Kazakhstan;Historical and cultural monuments;National customs and traditions;Everyday life of the Kazakh people;National holidays and celebrations;Landmarks of Kazakhstan;Visions and aspirations for the future of Kazakhstan.Each participant may submit multiple artworks.Only original works created by the participant will be accepted.Artwork created or edited using Artificial Intelligence (AI) will not be accepted.By submitting an artwork, participants grant the organizer permission to display and publish it on official websites, social media platforms, and exhibitions.Entries must be submitted in JPEG, JPG, PNG, or PDF format. IV. Evaluation Criteria Relevance to the ThemeThe extent to which the artwork fully and meaningfully reflects the theme “Kazakhstan Through My Eyes.”CreativityThe originality of the idea, imagination, and creative approach demonstrated by the participant.Artistic SkillThe quality of drawing technique, composition, color harmony, proportions, and overall execution.National ContentThe effectiveness of depicting Kazakhstan’s culture, history, nature, and national values.Emotional ImpactThe artwork’s ability to convey the author’s thoughts and emotions and to engage the viewer. V. Competition Timeline Creative works will be accepted from June 17 to August 28, 2026.The jury will determine the winners within 30 calendar days after the submission deadline. VI. From 29 July to 9 August, Kazakhstan’s capital will become the global hub of phygital sports - a unique competition format that combines esports, traditional sports, and cutting-edge technologies.🌏 The tournament will bring together more than 800 athletes from over 50 countries, competing across eight disciplines: Phygital Basketball, Battle Royale PUBG, Dota 2, CS2, Phygital Football, Mobile Legends, Phygital Dancing, and Phygital Fighting.🎮 In the phygital disciplines, participants first compete in a digital environment before continuing the contest on real-world sports venues, including a football pitch, basketball court, combat arena, or dance stage.
