A preventive meeting was held with the participation of high school students and college students.Representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office, the North Kazakhstan Department of the Penal Correction System, the Police Department, and public activists spoke before the youth. The speakers addressed topics of legal responsibility, crime prevention, and safety in the digital environment.Particular attention was drawn to a teleconference with inmates serving sentences in Institutions No. 48 and No. 50. The prisoners spoke about their life mistakes, impulsive decisions, pursuit of easy money, and peer pressure that led them to imprisonment. Their candid stories became a strong emotional lesson, clearly demonstrating how serious the consequences of unlawful actions can be.Participants were also informed about the dangers of fraud, involvement in scam schemes, hooliganism, and drug distribution. During the meeting, fragments of the documentary film “Couriers. The Price” were shown, featuring individuals convicted for distributing narcotic substances.In addition, the youth had the opportunity to meet well-known athletes — world champion under the WBA Super and IBO versions, former interim WBA world champion, and EBU European champion Zhanat Zhakiyanov, as well as Asian Championship medalist in athletics Margarita Mukasheva. At a meeting of the headquarters for ensuring economic growth, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin, preliminary forecasts for the development of basic industries for the year were reviewed. As before, the manufacturing industry, construction and food production remain the drivers of growth.Manufacturing industryThe industry has been showing steady dynamics for 10 months.In mechanical engineering (17.5% of the contribution to processing), an increase of 14% is projected for 11 months, and 16.3% for the year.The growth of the chemical industry (5.4% of the contribution to processing) is projected at 8% by the end of the year.Metallurgy, which provides 40% of the increase in physical volume in processing, showed an increase of 0.7% compared to last year. The forecast for 11 months is 0.8%, and 1.1% is expected by the end of the year.Overall, the manufacturing industry is expected to grow by 6.2% annually, which is 0.8 percentage points higher than planned.ConstructionAccording to preliminary estimates, 19.2 million square meters will be commissioned by the end of the year. m housing, which is 0.4% more than last year. The state is opening its doors to young professionals: graduates of state-funded higher and/or postgraduate programs with a high GPA (from 3.33) can find employment in government agencies without a competitive selection process. The key is to not miss a year after graduation.Opportunities are wide-ranging: from work in district akimats to positions in territorial divisions of central government agencies (excluding the city, which is the regional capital).Kostanay Region demonstrates one of the best results in the country: 48 graduates in three years have begun their careers in government agencies through non-competitive appointments.For those choosing rural areas, the state offers special support measures: a 100-times-a-month relocation allowance and a housing loan of up to 2,500 times the monthly calculation index (MCI) under the "With a Diploma to the Village" program. Vienna, December 5, 2025 – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev participated in the 32nd meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).The meeting’s participants reviewed the results of the Finnish Chairpersonship, exchanged views on assessments of key security challenges in the OSCE region and discussed ways to address the Organization’s institutional issues.In his speech, the Kazakh Foreign Minister emphasized that the anniversaries of the Helsinki Final Act and the Astana Declaration clearly demonstrate the enduring relevance of the OSCE’s fundamental principles. He pointed out that the international community’s goal is not to revise these principles, but to demonstrate political will to consistently adhere to them. He also noted that the Organization has unique tools in the areas of prevention, mediation and monitoring and called for their effective use.Minister Kosherbayev stressed the need to choose diplomacy over confrontation. He emphasized that Kazakhstan advocates diplomatic solution to crises based on international law, including the situation in Ukraine, the Middle East and other regions. The XXI International Exhibition "Kaztraffic-2025", held with the support of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, opened at the International Exhibition Center EXPO.
