Being a graduate of the Bolashak program, she graduated from University College London (2013), as well as Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (2015), doctoral degree in general medicine (2016). She also graduated from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a degree in local and public administration (2024). He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration.Asiya Akanova began her career in 2011, working as a laboratory assistant and methodologist, associate professor of the Department of Family Medicine at KazNMU, and later head of the department. In the period from 2018 to 2020, she was engaged in the opening and management of the Center for Active Longevity in Almaty. From 2022 to the present, she has been a deputy of the Maslikhat of Almaty of the VIII convocation.
