The main event of the day was the final of the BIRGEDAMYUSHIN children's creative contest. The regional project "Tulpar Miniп, Tu Algan" has concluded in the Kostanay Region. It started in September and lasted until April. The project aimed to develop the younger generation's interest in fiction, popularize national values, and foster a culture of memorizing poems and epics.A total of 9,094 schoolchildren from across the region participated in the large-scale project by submitting applications. Seoul, May 20, 2026 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan Asset Issenali took part in a meeting between the Minister of Intellectual Property of the Republic of Korea, Kim Yong Sun, and the Ambassadors of Central Asian countries, held as part of preparations for the first “Central Asia – Republic of Korea” Summit.During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for strengthening cooperation in the field of intellectual property in the C5 + Republic of Korea format, including the exchange of best practices, expansion of cooperation between relevant agencies, and improvement of the effectiveness of intellectual property rights protection amid the development of the digital economy.The Ambassador of Kazakhstan emphasized that, given Kazakhstan’s active digital transformation, the protection of digital and intellectual property is becoming increasingly relevant. On 19 May 2026, the Grand Academic Hall of the State Conservatory «Santa Cecilia» in Rome hosted the friendship concert «Harmony of Music», dedicated to the anniversary of the pontificate of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV and to the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Holy See.The concert was jointly organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan to the Holy See, the State Conservatory «Santa Cecilia» and the «Astana Opera» State Opera and Ballet Theatre.The program featured musical masterpieces, renowned works by distinguished Italian and Kazakh composers. The concert brought together celebrated artists of the Kazakh and international opera stage, including Mariya Mudryak and Medet Chotabayev.Soloists of the «Santa Cecilia» Conservatory and the «Astana Opera» Theatre performed arias and musical excerpts from operas by Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Akhmet Zhubanov, and Latif Khamidi, as well as lyrical works by Abai Kunanbayev. Under the baton of Kazakh conductor Elmar Buribayev, the Symphony Orchestra of the Santa Cecilia Conservatory presented several orchestral works.In celebration of the 120th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh composer Akhmet Zhubanov, the Grand Symphony Orchestra of the Santa Cecilia Conservatory, conducted by Astana Opera conductor Elmar Buribayev, performed the dance suite from the opera Abai.
