In 2025, the improvement of the embankment of the Bolshaya Almatinka River with a length of 5.7 km on an area of 23.4 hectares will begin in Almaty.The relevant draft budget for 2025-2027 is planned to be considered at the upcoming session of the Maslikhat of Almaty. This was reported by the press service of the city Maslikhat.The project includes the reconstruction of concrete retaining structures, the construction of pedestrian and bike paths, the installation of bridges, lighting poles, CCTV cameras, playgrounds and sports grounds, recreation areas and modular public toilets. Landscaping of the territory and the creation of viewing platforms are also provided.By the way, in 2024, Almaty completed the creation of a green zone along the Boraldai River in the Alatau district on an area of 24 hectares. A pedestrian bridge, a skatepark, playgrounds and sports grounds have already been equipped there, benches, urns and modular toilets have been installed. During the meetings of the working group, Deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan considered and adopted a number of norms on civil defense issues on amendments and additions to some legislative acts. Work continues in the regions to prepare for the flood period of 2025. Thus, employees of the Emergency Department of Astana, together with representatives of local executive bodies, conducted an aerial visual inspection of the snow landfill and the dam of Lake Maly Taldykol in the Nura district. The excavation sites of the channel for the discharge of meltwater from the snow landfill were identified, as well as problem areas in the body of the dam for its further strengthening. Based on the results of the survey, recommendations have been prepared to responsible state bodies, the solution of which will ensure the safe passage of the flood period in the capital. As part of flood control measures in the East Kazakhstan region, an aerial visual survey of flood-prone areas in the Altai and Ulken-Naryn, Glubokovsky and Katon-Karagay districts was conducted. The flight was attended by the head of the Emergency Department Rashid Blyalov, Deputy akim of the region Bakytzhan Bayakhmetov and specialists from interested organizations. As a result of the flyby, the situation of settlements located along the Bukhtarma River, as well as the Glubokovsky district, was monitored. The initial phase of the formation of a stable snow cover is marked along the entire route, and the ice formation phase is underway on the rivers. In the region, in order to prevent the occurrence of flood events in 2025, an Engineering Work Plan was approved, according to which 55 flood control measures are being implemented in 13 districts of the region. Almaty plans to finance the purchase of another 100 school buses in 2025 05.12.2024

This was reported by the press service of the city Maslikhat.Recall that the Almaty project "School Bus" was launched for the first time in Kazakhstan in 2023 on behalf of Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev.As part of the second stage of the project, 100 buses have been additionally purchased this year for transporting schoolchildren. Thus, now 200 buses transport more than 9 thousand children to 51 schools. Next year, as part of the continuation of the project, it is planned to purchase another 100 buses.Buses will go on routes as applications are received from schools where children living in remote and hard-to-reach areas study. This is one of the priorities according to which school buses are allocated.
