Today, Akim of the region Murat Ergeshbayev familiarized himself with the operation of the new combined heat and power plant built in the city of Kyzylorda with the direct support of the Head of State. The Turkish company «AksaEnergy» invested 215 billion tenge in the construction of the plant, which produces 240 megawatts of electricity and 277 gigacalories of thermal energy.As part of the project, 3 gas turbine units with a capacity of 185 megawatts, 1 steam turbine of 55 megawatts, 3 steam boilers, and 2 hot water boilers have been installed. The new plant is planned to be fully launched in August.After that, the Akim of the region visited the «Kyzylorda Combined Heat and Power Plant». Currently, 85 percent of the heat energy sources and 40 percent of the heating networks here are worn out. The station produces 67 megawatts of electricity and 355 gigacalories of thermal energy.Overall, it is planned to allocate 5.5 billion tenge for preparation for the upcoming heating season. With these funds, the modernization project of 8.7 kilometers of heating networks will be completed, and major repairs of gas turbine units No. 1 and No. 2 will be carried out. In addition, 1.3 kilometers of heating networks, 1 boiler house, 1 turbine, 10 autonomous boiler houses, and main and auxiliary equipment will be repaired.The Akim of the region also visited the institution «Kyzylorda Electric Distribution Networks». The institution manages 10,608 kilometers of electric networks and 2,058 substations, with a total transformer capacity of 1,350 megawatts.Following the tour of facilities ensuring the normal life of the population, instructions were given to the responsible heads of the sectors. Two villages of the Fedorovsky district were connected to natural gas 17.07.2026
Akim of Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov visited Fedorovsky district on a working trip.Previously, only five out of the district's 44 settlements were connected to natural gas. Now, residents of the villages of Lesnoye and Berezovka have received blue fuel. Thus, the number of gasified settlements has increased to seven, and the district's gasification level has reached 36 percent."As part of a memorandum between the akimat of Fedorovsky district and Capital Partners Astana LLP, the construction of gas pipelines to the villages of Peshkovka and Vladykino is planned at the expense of the enterprise. In addition, design work has begun on the construction of main and distribution gas networks in another 18 settlements," noted the head of the region.In addition, all 44 settlements of Fedorovsky district are provided with centralized water supply. A new fire station has been opened in Kostanay region. 16.07.2026
Another important infrastructure project aimed at strengthening the emergency response system has been implemented in Kostanay District. Near the city of Tobyl, in the area of the actively developing "Astana" and "Baiterek" microdistricts, the grand opening of the new fire station No. 28 took place.The new fire station, equipped in accordance with modern requirements, will improve the responsiveness to emergencies, strengthen the civil protection system, and ensure a higher level of public safety. In the future, the unit will serve new residential areas with a population exceeding 60,000 people, as well as nearby settlements, social and industrial facilities.The keys to new specialized equipment were handed over to the regional fire service units. In total, the region's fire departments received 12 modern specialized vehicles, including the newly opened fire station No. 28, which was also provided with new equipment.Measures to develop the emergency prevention and response system are being consistently implemented in Kostanay Region. Over the past three years, 3 billion tenge have been allocated for the development of the sector, fire stations and rescue units have been modernized, and dozens of units of specialized and service equipment have been purchased. This year alone, 1.4 billion tenge have been allocated for these purposes. The average area of forest fires in the region decreased by 2.5 times 16.07.2026
A meeting of the regional akimat on the issue of fire danger in forest areas was held under the chairmanship of Kostanay Region Akim Kumar Aksakalov.The Head of State has identified the expansion of forest areas and their protection as one of the national priorities.The staffing of the forest guard has been strengthened in the region. While three years ago 825 people worked in forestry institutions, today their number has increased to 1,242 people.«Over the past three years, about 8 billion tenge has been allocated to strengthen the material and technical base of forestry institutions. With these funds, 51 fire trucks, 86 tractors, 36 forest fire complexes, and 78 patrol units of equipment were purchased. As a result, the level of equipment provision for forestry institutions has reached 90%. At the same time, they are 100% provided with fire trucks», – noted the regional akim.In 2025, a 35-meter-high fire observation tower was built in the Auliekol district for the first time in the last 30 years. It is planned to install another 20 towers over the next three years. By the end of 2028, the region's forest areas will be fully equipped with surveillance systems.Today, monitoring of forest territories is carried out using 40 video surveillance cameras, which cover 70% of the forested area. For comparison, only 8 cameras were operational in 2022.Thanks to the measures taken, the average area of a single forest fire has decreased by 2.5 times – from 11.4 hectares to 4.6 hectares in 2025. In the current year, this indicator stands at 1.5 hectares.The reduction in the area of forest fires has also made it possible to significantly decrease the average material damage from a single fire. A meeting of the regional akimat dedicated to ensuring water safety during the summer period was held under the chairmanship of Kostanay Region Akim Kumar Aksakalov.Currently, 23 official swimming areas have been designated within the region. The main causes of tragic incidents on the water remain insufficient parental supervision of children, swimming while intoxicated, and people overestimating their physical capabilities. Children must swim exclusively under the supervision of parents or other adults. If a minor is found near a body of water unaccompanied by adults, their parents will be held liable in accordance with current legislation.«Summer is not only a time for recreation but also a period of heightened responsibility for adults. The life and health of children primarily depend on the attentiveness and responsibility of parents. An additional 217 prohibition and warning signs need to be installed across the region. Our task is to warn residents about the danger. At the same time, every citizen must recognize personal responsibility for their own life and safety,» noted the head of the region.Currently, the rescue service is equipped with 35 units of automotive equipment, 21 watercraft, 30 sets of diving gear, 97 communication devices, and 30 units of rescue equipment. The official opening of the regional foresight center took place in the city of Kostanay – a new platform aimed at strengthening the interaction between science and industry. The project was implemented on the initiative of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan as part of the execution of the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the development of regional science and its integration with the real sector of the economy.The event was held at the Smart Center of the Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University with the participation of representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, central and local government bodies, higher education institutions, scientific organizations, large industrial enterprises, and the business community.The regional foresight center was established as a permanent platform for interaction between science, business, and the state. Its main task is to identify the technological needs of enterprises in the region, orient scientific potential towards solving current production challenges, and improve mechanisms for implementing scientific research results into the real sector of the economy.During the foresight session, new approaches to the development of domestic science were presented, based on the formation of scientific and technical tasks taking into account the needs of the regions. Mechanisms for open selection and financing of scientific projects were also discussed, and participants were presented with methodological documents regulating the conduct of foresight research, the preparation of scientific and technical assignments, and the organization of competitive procedures.Special attention was paid to the work carried out in the Kostanay region on the development of science and innovation. A Council for Science and Technology operates in the region, and based on the recommendations of the National Academy of Sciences, five priority areas of scientific development have been identified. These include the development of the agro-industrial complex, sustainable environmental management, processing of mineral raw materials and waste recycling, development of intelligent systems in mechanical engineering, information technology, and industrial digitalization.In addition, a target indicator for the share of expenditures on research and development work is included in the Development Plan of the Kostanay region for 2026–2030. Currently, higher education institutions of the region, together with industrial enterprises, are implementing eight scientific projects with a total cost of over 5.5 billion tenge.As part of the foresight session, representatives of leading enterprises in the region presented their production tasks and technological requests. The participants' attention was focused on the issues of implementing innovative solutions in the mining industry, commercializing scientific developments, developing carbon farming and digital agricultural technologies, as well as implementing a project for the production of plant-based dry milk substitute.The second part of the event featured a training seminar for representatives of local executive bodies and businesses. A young chess player from Karaganda became the champion of Central and North Asia 15.07.2026
Twelve-year-old Karagandian Albina Kairbekova won a gold medal at the Central and North Asian Youth Chess Championship. The international tournament, held on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul, brought together 479 of the strongest young athletes from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Russia.This was reported in the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Karaganda region.The participants competed in classical chess, rapid and blitz. Albina Kairbekova showed the best result in blitz among girls under 14 (G14 category), becoming the champion of Central and North Asia.Kazakhstan chess players performed well at the international tournament, winning 33 medals, 13 of which were gold. It is planned to produce 20,000 components per year. 50 percent of the products manufactured at the plant will be supplied to the domestic market, and the remaining 50 percent will be exported abroad.Production projects are of great importance for diversifying the region's economy, creating new jobs, and increasing export potential.After this, the regional akim addressed issues related to the construction of the "Beineu – Sekseul" highway.As a reminder, at the V meeting of the National Kurultai, the Head of State instructed to accelerate the construction of the "Beineu – Sekseul" highway.In accordance with this, the relevant ministry is currently determining the sources of project financing, and design and estimate documentation is being developed.780 billion 285 million tenge is being allocated for the construction of the road. The total length is 559 kilometers, of which 189 kilometers belong to the Kyzylorda region. This enterprise will become a new impetus for the development of the region's economy, will increase the country's export potential and create new jobs.Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev has repeatedly emphasized that new investments should be directed primarily towards forming a modern industrial base for the country.In this direction, large investment projects are being successfully implemented in the region. One of them is the plant of the «Kazakh Camel» company for the production of camel milk powder worth 3 billion tenge.Despite the presence of camel milk processing enterprises in the country, there are very few plants producing dry powder on an industrial scale. Therefore, this project is a unique and important initiative,» — noted Murat Ergeshbayev.The production capacity of the enterprise is about 400 tons of products per year. The plant will create 23 permanent jobs.For the production of dry powder, up to 20 thousand liters of camel milk will be required daily, which will become an additional source of income for local residents engaged in animal husbandry. They will be able to deliver milk daily and receive a stable income.In order to expand sales markets, a long-term contract for the export of products to China has been concluded for a period of 10 years. As part of state support, the enterprise has been provided with a land plot of 1 hectare on the territory of the industrial zone. In addition, financing in the amount of 1.8 billion tenge is provided through the Industrial Development Fund for the purchase of necessary technological equipment from China.During the ceremony, regional prosecutor Rizabek Ozharov, representatives of the older generation Aitbay Kosherbay and Adilbek Aiymbetov delivered speeches. Akim of the region Murat Ergeshbayev made a working trip to the Aral district. He met with residents of the Koszhar rural district and inspected the work of the "Kamystybas" fish hatchery. The hatchery, with more than half a century of history, preserves valuable fish stocks and increases the natural population. Here, such gifts of the sea as carp, grass carp, and silver carp are bred. As part of the state order, 12 million fingerlings and 420 thousand two-year-old fry are raised annually and released into the Aral Sea and the SyrDarya River. This contributes to increasing the fish stocks of the region's water bodies. The Akim of the region gave specific instructions to the heads of responsible sectors on the efficient use of natural resources.On the territory of the Aral district, there are 18 sites of the Small Aral Sea, the SyrDarya River, and 17 lakes favorable for the development of fisheries. The agro-industrial cluster project of the company "Harvest agro" is being actively implemented in Zhalagash 15.07.2026
During a working trip to Zhalagash district, Akim of the region Murat Ergeshbayev visited the sown areas. He familiarized himself with the current state of the agro-industrial cluster project of the company «Harvest Agro», aimed at growing industrial hemp, corn, and soybeans, as well as their processing. A land plot of 22.5 thousand hectares from the Karaketken rural district has been allocated for the project. Of these, 5 thousand hectares are sown with corn, 2 thousand hectares — with safflower, and 142 sprinkler irrigation units are in operation. After the enterprise is put into operation, it is planned to process up to 60 thousand tons of industrial hemp, 70 thousand tons of corn, and 20 thousand tons of soybeans annually. The produced goods, in addition to meeting the needs of the domestic market, will also be exported to foreign countries.To date, 26.3 billion tenge of investments have been attracted, and 100 permanent jobs have been created. 50 units of machinery are involved in sowing and production work.Work is underway to increase the land area, water use limits, introduce a sprinkler irrigation system, lay electrical networks, and develop design and estimate documentation.It should be noted that this year a total of 185.8 thousand hectares have been sown in the region, of which grain crops account for — 89.7 thousand hectares, oilseeds — 6.1 thousand hectares, fodder crops — 73.2 thousand hectares, potatoes, vegetables, and melons — 16.8 thousand hectares. In accordance with the instruction of the Head of State, compared to last year, the rice area has been reduced by 10.9 thousand hectares. This year, rice has been sown and flooded on 70 thousand hectares.Of these, 31.3 thousand hectares have received top dressing, and 53.3 thousand hectares have been treated against weeds. Akim of the region Murat Ergeshbayev held a meeting with Director of Tansu Construction LLP Nikolay Kim, Deputy General Director of Vertex Holding LLP Irina Kenzhetayeva, Head of Capital Projects Department Mayra Usipbekova, and Chief Engineer of Astel-K LLP Bakhadyr Sadykov.The meeting discussed the progress of construction of the Presidential Library, designed to hold 600,000 books.As a reminder, at the beginning of this year, during the V session of the National Kurultai with the participation of Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, an instruction was given to build a modern library in Kyzylorda operating around the clock.The project is being implemented with sponsorship support from investor Eduard Ogay. The total construction cost is 20 billion tenge.The building area will be 13,000 square meters, and a land plot of 3 hectares has been allocated for its construction.The three-story building with a basement floor will house a conference hall, reading rooms, an electronic library, halls of regional history, periodicals, archival and rare collections, a world literature department, art galleries, a media laboratory, an exhibition gallery, children's spaces, a coworking center, a food court, a restoration workshop, and a printing house.Currently, contracts have been signed with the contractor Tansu Construction LLP, which is carrying out construction and installation works, author supervision by Astel-K LLP, and technical supervision organization SJS Kazakhstan LTD.All technical conditions have been obtained to provide the facility with the necessary engineering and communication infrastructure.
