In 2024, over 10,000 websites advertising illegal gambling and betting were added to the Cybernadzor information system for subsequent blocking."Citizens who notice illegal advertising of betting shops on the streets or in the media can file a complaint with the Ministry. If there is sufficient evidence, the agency sends requests to the relevant akimats and the Ministry of Culture and Information to collect the materials necessary to initiate an administrative offense case," Miras Tulebayev explained.The Deputy Prime Minister instructed the interested state bodies and regional akimats to carefully monitor compliance with the requirements of the legislation."Advertising in unauthorized places should not be allowed. Several thousand websites were reported to be blocked. However, there are still advertisements for betting shops on the Internet.
