On October 21, 2025, the Ministry's Ethics Commissioner, in collaboration with the Legal Department, held a training seminar on the topic:"Gambling Addiction, Respect for Human Rights and the Law. Anti-Corruption Prevention."The event was aimed at raising the level of legal and ethical awareness among civil servants, fostering a zero-tolerance attitude toward corruption and antisocial behavior, and developing principles of integrity and service to society.The seminar addressed the key topics of the report:• Gambling addiction as a psychological disorder leading to loss of control and the destruction of family and professional relationships. Participants were reminded of the unacceptability of civil servants' participation in gambling and the need to promptly seek psychological help if signs of addiction appear.• Respect for the law and human rights as an integral part of official and moral responsibility. Cooperation between the two countries is developing in trade, industry, logistics, and digitalization.Speaking at the Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan Business Forum in Astana, Aidar Abildabekov, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted that economic ties between the two countries are steadily strengthening. From January to August 2025, trade turnover reached $343.3 million, with Kazakhstan's exports amounting to $290.8 million, and imports from Azerbaijan increasing by more than 58%.According to the Vice Minister, Kazakhstan proposes expanding its export basket with Azerbaijan to include agricultural products totaling approximately 14.5 million tons. This includes grains and oilseeds, flour, butter, and potatoes."Today, it is important to build sustainable production chains and joint projects that create added value. This is the essence of cooperation. "We will develop not in parallel, but together," he emphasized.During the forum, an official signing ceremony was held for 16 cooperation agreements and memoranda between representatives of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. The signed documents included agreements in industry, tourism, education, digital technology, and logistics.Cooperation was cemented by memoranda between Kazpost and Zira Port, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs and the KOBIA agency, as well as between a number of private companies from the two countries. Wildberries has recorded increased demand for products from Kazakhstani entrepreneurs during the "Bereke Fest" promotion, timed to coincide with Republic Day. Since the launch of the promotion on Wildberries in mid-October 2025, Kazakhstani interest in online shopping has increased by 5% compared to the previous week*. More than 8,500 domestic entrepreneurs are participating in the promotion, independently setting discounts on their products ranging from 10% to 90%.The highest demand among shoppers in the country was for the following product categories: network equipment (+223% in monetary terms), garden equipment (+134%), auto electronics (+114%), baby food (+101%), kitchen appliances (+13%). Luxembourg, October 20, 2025 – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Issetov took part in a ministerial meeting dedicated to advancing the connectivity agenda between the countries of Central Asia, the Eastern Partnership, Türkiye, and the European Union.The event brought together foreign ministers from EU member states, as well as from Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and Türkiye.Participants discussed practical steps aimed at strengthening cross-regional connectivity in the areas of transport, digital transformation, energy, and trade.They paid particular attention to the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (“Middle Corridor”), the modernization of infrastructure networks, the provision of affordable clean energy, and the advancement of digital transformation.In his remarks, Deputy Minister Issetov noted that transport is among the 29 priority areas defined in the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Union and its member states.
