Four National Guard athletes become national hand-to-hand combat champions 06.04.2026
The Republic of Kazakhstan Hand-to-Hand Combat Championship among men and women was held in Karaganda in the disciplines of “Zhekpe-zhek” and “Self-defense.” More than 300 athletes took part in the competition. As a result of the tournament, representatives of the National Guard’s “Burkit TEAM” sports club won 4 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medals.In the men’s absolute weight category, the champion was serviceman of military unit 5572 Ali Musakulov. In the women’s absolute category, serviceman of military unit 5547 Gulnaz Murat won the silver medal.In addition, in the women’s 58 kg weight category, Aigerim Torekhan, a serviceman of military unit 5572, claimed victory. This became her fourth national championship title in hand-to-hand combat.In the 67 kg category, serviceman of military unit 5518 Manarbek Asembay took second place. National Guard launches “BOOKGUARD” literary challenge 06.04.2026
A literary challenge titled “BOOKGUARD” has been launched in military unit 5574 of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Turkestan. The initiative is aimed at developing a reading culture among servicemen. Participants have passed the challenge baton to their fellow servicemen in other military units of the law enforcement troops.As part of the project, servicemen are encouraged to read at least three books during their period of conscript service, taking into account their personal interests and moral and psychological condition.Additionally, a dedicated section with audiobooks has been introduced on the National Guard’s information portal, making literature more accessible in a convenient format. As a result, units have reported an increase in the number of servicemen who regularly engage in reading.The key platform for the project is the library of military unit 5574, operating on the basis of Mobile Point No. 6 of the Turkestan Regional Universal Library “Farab.” Today, more than 100 regular readers are registered there, indicating a strong interest in reading among personnel.The library collection consists of 1,130 books, including fiction, historical, military-patriotic, and popular science literature, as well as periodicals. Servicemen have the opportunity to freely choose books and broaden their horizons.To encourage reading activity, a reward system has been introduced. Newcastle disease (pseudofowl plague or Asiatic fowl plague) is a highly contagious viral disease of birds—primarily chickens—characterized by pneumonia, encephalitis, and multiple pinpoint hemorrhagic lesions of internal organs.Human contact with infected birds can cause mild conjunctivitis and flu-like symptoms, but the Newcastle virus poses no health risk to humans.SYMPTOMS: fever, loss of appetite, depression, inactivity, conjunctivitis. Respiratory system involvement—coughing, sneezing, croaking, breathing with the beak slightly open or completely open. Disruption of the central nervous system – unsteady gait, tendency to move in circles, paralysis of body parts. In some cases, diarrhea may be observed, including with an admixture of blood.Recommendations for the prevention of Newcastle disease in prosperous areas.1. Prevent contact between poultry and synanthropic birds (sparrows, crows, pigeons) and wild migratory birds;2. Keep poultry from private households indoors;3. Ensure isolated storage of feed in a closed area to prevent contamination with excreta from wild and synanthropic birds;4. Purchase young poultry and hatching eggs from reputable sources, refraining from purchasing live poultry at markets and unauthorized trading locations;5. Keep areas and buildings for keeping animals and poultry clean; Disinfect all premises and grounds periodically (2-3 times a week), thoroughly treating equipment (scoops, brooms, buckets) with disinfectants beforehand.6. Tbilisi, April 3 – The Georgian National Museum hosted the official opening of the exhibition “The Kipchaks in Georgia,” dedicated to the historical heritage of the Kipchak people and their contribution to the formation of Georgian statehood.The exhibition was organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Georgia and features unique artifacts illustrating the presence of the Kipchaks in Georgia.The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Georgia, Malik Murzalin, who noted that the Kipchaks inhabited vast territories of Eurasia and formed a powerful state entity. Their significant role in the development of a number of countries, including India, China, Egypt, Byzantium, Rus, Khorezm and others, was also highlighted.Particular attention was paid to the historical ties between the Kipchaks and Georgia.
