The first wind farm in the Karaganda region is planned to be commissioned in 2025. 24.12.2024
In the Karaganda region, in the Osakarovka area, masts with wind turbines are already visible. The first wind farm in the region is being built by Giberborey. Its capacity will be 150 MW. At first, it took time to choose a suitable site where strong winds blow all year round. This year, the construction of a green energy facility began, and it is planned to be commissioned in 2025. There may be more of them in the future: two more wind farm projects are under development.Azamat Taizhanov, First Deputy Akim of the Karaganda region, told the YouTube channel "Where the Akimat is looking" about the development of the potential of renewable energy sources.Five installations are already generating clean energy in the region. Wind power plants will be added to the existing solar power plants.– A project for the construction of a 150 MW wind farm is being implemented in the Osakarovsky district. Completion is planned for 2025. After commissioning, 20 new jobs will be created for the maintenance of the installation. There are plans to build a 500 MW wind farm in Temirtau and a 200 MW wind farm in Karkaralinsky district. The projects are under development," Azamat Tayzhanov said. – Each investor takes measurements before the project is implemented. That is, it takes a year or two for research. Only then does he start work. The first deputy governor of the region answered questions concerning energy and housing and communal services in general. To reduce infrastructure wear, networks are being upgraded and new ones are being built. This year, 17 projects have been implemented to improve heat supply, and 40 to improve water supply.– Next year, this pace will not decrease. On behalf of the President of the country, a national project "Modernization of the energy and utility sectors" has been developed. The goal is to reduce the depreciation of existing assets by up to 40% by 2030. There is a lot of work to be done in this direction," Azamat Taizhanov said. This year, the third heat sink was put into operation in Karaganda. According to the deputy governor of the region, this will provide stable heat for the next 5-7 years to the southeastern part of the city, including new buildings. There is enough capacity to heat about 20 thousand new apartments.Meanwhile, housing construction is growing in the region. By the end of this year, 500 thousand square meters will be commissioned, which means that the load on the network is increasing. A number of energy source modernization projects are planned for additional capacities. As part of the investment agreements, by 2028, the companies have committed to the construction of two new boilers and four turbines at three stations – TPP-3 of Karaganda, Balkhashskaya TPP and Toparskaya GRES. Vice Minister of Trade Kairat Torebayev met with the heads of export-oriented enterprises of Aktobe region 24.12.2024
A meeting with the population was held in Aktobe, during which Vice Minister of Trade and Integration Kairat Torebayev discussed with the heads of export-oriented enterprises, as well as with representatives of financial institutions and businesses, including members of the Atameken Branch Councils, key issues of entrepreneurship development and support for small and medium-sized businesses in the region.Kairat Torebayev cited current statistics, according to which trade is important for the economy. It ranks first in the structure of employment (1.5 million people), second in the structure of GDP (18.2%) and leads in the number of business entities (782 thousand)."The government is trying to stimulate the development of domestic trade. It is very important to form a modern trading infrastructure, modernize markets and develop e-commerce," said Kairat Torebayev.During the meeting, Kairat Torebayev stressed that one of the priorities of the Ministry is the development of exports of Kazakh products to international markets. Today, exports of domestic products cover a number of countries, where the UAE, Qatar, Vietnam, China and Iran are promising destinations for Kazakhstani exporters. The Vice Minister spoke about the system of measures to support exporters of non-primary goods and services from two specialized companies — KazTrade and KazakhExport. The Ministry of Trade and Integration has identified operators for the development and promotion of exports. Kazakh exporters can use insurance and financial support measures through the Export Credit Agency. Service support for exporters is focused on the QazTrade base, including reimbursement of part of the costs of transportation and marketing expenses, as well as participation in exhibitions and forums abroad. The export acceleration program helps business representatives to enter new sales markets.— It is very important to note the efforts of the state to protect its foreign economic interests. This justifies the investment. The effect of each tenge of direct costs for non-financial export support is 500 tenge of export revenue," the Vice Minister cited interesting figures.During the meeting, entrepreneurs raised the issue of strengthening control over imported dairy products imported to the Republic of Kazakhstan from neighboring countries. There was also a question about exports to China. Entrepreneurs were interested in speeding up the procedure for inclusion in the Chinese register of exporters. The Vice Minister noted that this process is very long and can take up to one year. They also asked about the supply of ARBZ rail and block products to Afghanistan, where the elements of interaction and compliance with agreements are only getting better. Kairat Torebayev promised to raise this issue with his Afghan partners. At the end of the meeting, the Vice Minister held a reception for citizens.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/mti/press/news/details/904337
Sapaly Onim Project - consumer rights protection through public control 24.12.2024
In accordance with the Address of the Head of State to the People of Kazakhstan dated September 1, 2023 "The Economic Course of Fair Kazakhstan", the Ministry of Trade and Integration has begun implementing measures to protect the domestic market and support domestic producers. As part of this assignment, the Sapaly Onim social project was launched, aimed at protecting consumers' rights from low-quality products through the implementation of a public control tool. Bulat Tanabergenov, Acting Chairman of the MIT Consumer Protection Committee, announced this on the CCS site."We believe that the identification of low-quality products will protect consumers, identify unscrupulous manufacturers and support honest ones, create an incentive for the production and sale of high-quality products. According to the results of 11 months of this year, in all regions, public organizations selected more than 2 thousand items of products, of which 1,423 types, or 71%, violations were detected. The main share of violations was revealed in terms of labeling requirements – the lack of information about the product, its composition, and in the official language," the speaker noted. 228, or 16% – violations of sanitary and epidemiological requirements (this is a discrepancy in composition, sale of expired goods, lack of relevant documents). For the violations identified, appropriate measures of administrative responsibility of business entities were taken, as well as declarations of conformity of products were canceled and suspended until violations were eliminated. Bulat Tanabergenov also focused on legal reforms. At the sixth meeting of the National Council of Public Trust, the Head of State set the task of improving legislation on consumer protection. In order to implement this instruction, as well as taking into account the results of the analysis and monitoring of received appeals from citizens, responses and suggestions from public institutions and negative indicators of sociological research, the Ministry has developed draft laws aimed at building an effective and comprehensive system of consumer protection. On September 4, the draft laws were approved by the deputies of the Mazhilis of Parliament in the first reading. First, it is suggested that the consumer be given a choice on how to protect their rights. Settle the dispute in a pre-trial order, or directly file a lawsuit in court, or contact a government agency to bring an unscrupulous business entity to justice.Secondly, the draft law proposes to enhance the role of public institutions for consumer protection, including through the introduction of an Ombudsman in this area. Additionally, public consumer associations will be given the right to select samples of goods and purchase services (works) as part of public monitoring of the domestic market.Thirdly, it is proposed to extend the basic principles of consumer protection to the spheres of housing and communal services, communications, tourism, culture, trade, transport and other services, except financial, for comprehensive consumer protection in all spheres of human activity, which will also strengthen the intersectoral coordination of government agencies. In addition, at the stage of developing industry regulations, they will be subject to analysis by the Ministry for compliance with the requirements of the Law on Consumer Protection.Fourthly, it is proposed to introduce civil liability of an entrepreneur, imposed in the form of a fine by the court in favor of a consumer whose rights were violated and not resolved at the pre-trial stage when contacting entrepreneurs.Fifth, e-commerce will occupy a special section. The results of sociological research, as well as the increase in the number of complaints, are of particular concern. In Kazakhstan, goods and services are currently sold through online stores of retail chains, electronic trading platforms, marketplaces, and online ad services."At the same time, both domestic and foreign companies operate in the e-commerce market. According to the results of 11 months of this year, out of 56 thousand consumer requests, about 13 thousand (23%) were received via e-commerce. Last year – 9 thousand requests. Consumers mostly complain about the lack of information about the product and the seller; the inconsistency of the product offered with the description; the refusal of Internet sites to return the product and money. According to the existing problems, operational channels of interaction have been created in the form of e-mail, whatsapp chats, including with representatives of Wildberries, Caspian, OZONE," the speaker said. Within the framework of the current Law on Consumer Protection, the requirements for an offline seller also apply to online sellers. However, they are not always respected, especially by sellers trading on electronic trading platforms. Construction and launch of the second stage of the 10th Anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan mine 24.12.2024
Construction of the mine began in 1978 on the basis of the Almaz-Zhemchuzhina, Millionnoye, Pervomayskoye and No. 21 deposits. Previously, the mine was called "Central". In 1999, the first stage of the mine's first start-up complex with a capacity of 100,000 tons of ore per year was commissioned. In 2001, the full capacity of the first stage was commissioned for 2 million tons of ore per year. In connection with the anniversary of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it was renamed the 10th Anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan mine. The construction of the second stage is currently being completed. The unique facility includes two deposits, as well as six underground horizons, one of which, minus 480, is considered one of the deepest in the world. There is also the deepest mine shaft in Kazakhstan – more than a kilometer underground. The design capacity of modern production exceeds 7 million tons of ore per year. New, high-performance mining systems using the most advanced self-propelled machinery will be used for ore mining. High technical equipment will significantly reduce manual labor and increase the productivity of each miner, and an intelligent underground positioning system for determining the location of personnel and equipment will ensure their safety. The launch of a new mine is strategically important not only for the stable operation of ferroalloy plants, but also for the single-industry town of Khromtau, where DGOC is a city-forming enterprise. 1,000 jobs will be created. ERG is investing 1,031 billion tenge in the construction of the mine. Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/mps/press/news/details/901448
National wealth of the subsoil: prospects for development and discoveries 24.12.2024
Chairman of the Committee of Geology of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Akbarov made a presentation at a briefing at the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Yerlan Galiyev, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC National Geological Survey, also took part in the briefing.Geological surveys are a strategic area that ensures the development of mineral resources, which are uniquely diverse and in high demand on foreign and domestic markets."To date, the state balance sheet in Kazakhstan has accounted for 987 deposits of solid minerals, 355 deposits of hydrocarbons, 3,666 deposits of common minerals and about 4,540 deposits of groundwater," Yerlan Akbarov stressed.According to the results of the state examination of reports on the results of geological exploration, an increase in reserves for a number of minerals of significant value has been confirmed.According to the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Subsoil and Subsoil Use", from January 1, 2024, Kazakhstan has implemented a full transition to KAZRC (CRIRSCO) international reporting standards for solid minerals, which plays an important role in increasing the inflow of investments into the geological and mining industries of Kazakhstan. Every year, at the expense of the state budget, regional work is carried out on the state geological survey of the subsurface on a scale of 1:200,000. These works are aimed at achieving coverage of the geological and geophysical study of the territory of Kazakhstan up to 2.2 million square kilometers by the end of 2026 as part of the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State in the Address to the People of Kazakhstan dated 2023.To date, the geological and geophysical survey is 1,255.6 thousand square kilometers, by the end of this year it is planned to increase this figure to 2014.4 thousand square kilometers, in 2025 the coverage area will be 2,038.2 thousand square kilometers. The total amount of financing for this type of work for 3 years is more than 20 billion tenge. There are significant prospects for new discoveries of hydrocarbon deposits in Kazakhstan. Currently, geologists have identified 15 sedimentary basins with estimated conventional fuel resources of about 76 billion tons. Today, the entire volume of oil and gas production accounts for 5 developed basins, of which the Caspian basin is considered the largest, accounting for about 80% of the country's resource base. At the same time, 5 additional poorly studied sedimentary basins have significant prospects: the North Turgai, Aral, Syrdarya, Shuarysui and Irtysh sedimentary basins. The unrealized hydrocarbon potential of these basins remains quite significant. At the same time, in order to ensure environmental sustainability, approaches to studying the subsurface are being significantly revised today.
