On May 5, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, at which the development of the chemical and petrochemical industries was considered. Construction is planned to begin in the second half of 2025. The cost of the project is 408.4 billion tenge, the capacity is 388 thousand tons, the launch is in 2027, 800 jobs.• The plant for the production of terephthalic acid and polyethylene terephthalate — a strategic partner is being sought. The cost is 720 billion tenge, the capacity is 620 thousand tons, the launch is in 2028, it will also create 800 jobs. Under this program, agreements have been concluded between KPI and 114 enterprises from 15 regions of the country.
