In order to identify and study possible causes and conditions conducive to the commission of corruption offenses in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Law "On Combating Corruption", the Model Rules for Conducting Internal Analysis of Corruption Risks, approved by Order No. 21 of the Chairman of the Anti–Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 16, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the Model Rules), dated March 27, 2026 No. 515 "On Conducting an Internal Analysis of Corruption Risks in the Activities of the State Revenue Department in Moscow Astana", as well as within the framework of the implementation of the standard basic direction No. 4 "Prevention and Combating Corruption" (hereinafter referred to as TBN No. 4), an internal analysis of corruption risks in the activities of the Department of State Revenue in Astana was conducted.The internal analysis of corruption risks was conducted by a working group defined by Order No. 515 dated March 27, 2026, consisting of employees with practical experience in applying industry legislation in their activities: the deputy head, heads of Departments of the Department and customs posts.Information system data and other analytical information have been studied to identify corruption risks and develop recommendations.The internal analysis of corruption risks in the Departments and Customs posts of the Department was carried out in accordance with the Standard Rules and Instructions for the implementation of TBN projects No. 4 in the following stages:1) collection and synthesis of information about the object of analysis;2) analysis of legal acts and internal documents regulating the activities of the object of analysis, its organizational and managerial activities for the presence of corruption risks;3)preparation and signing of the analytical report;4) identification of positions subject to corruption risks;5) control and monitoring of the implementation of recommendations to eliminate the causes and conditions conducive to the commission of corruption offenses identified by the results of an internal analysis of corruption risks.In the course of the work, the following were analyzed:- legal acts and internal documents regulating the Department's activities;- provision of public services;- appeals of individuals and legal entities in relation to the object of analysis;- disbursement and allocation of budgetary and financial resources for the period of 2025 and the expired period of 2026;- development and operation of information systems;- establishing the facts of hiring persons who have previously committed a corruption offense;- identification of persons engaged in activities incompatible with the performance of government functions;- establishing the facts of the exercise of official duties in the presence of a conflict of interests;- establishing the facts of the use of official and other information that is not subject to official dissemination in order to obtain or extract property and non-property benefits and advantages;- sending civil servants to anti-corruption training.Given the multiplicity of functions and the intersectoral nature of the Department's work, the main areas of activity were analyzed, namely:1. development and operation of information systems.          According to the results of the analysis, 1 corruption risk was identified: The area of activity covered by the analysis1. At the same time, the volume of such documents is a significant number of pages that the taxpayer needs to scan in order to embed them in the information system. However, the technical limitation regarding the loading and storage of the data array has not been determined. Currently, the direction of the request for the provision of documents is implemented in the information system in the taxpayer's office. On June 5, 2026, the Deputy Head of the State Revenue Department for East Kazakhstan Region and Ethics Commissioner, K.K. Gabidulla Ospankulov, Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, met with representatives of the Spanish company Roca Group.The group of companies manufactures sanitary ware and produces a full range of bathroom products.The project includes the construction of the first plant in the country for the production and assembly of plumbing products and bathroom accessories.The foundation stone for the plant in Kyzylorda was recently laid. The planned investment is 44.1 billion tenge, and production capacity will reach 500,000 units. The Supreme Audit Chamber of Kazakhstan successfully completed the international «peer review» conducted by the supreme audit institutions of Portugal, Lithuania and Türkiye, and confirmed its compliance with the international INTOSAI standards. The results of the large-scale work were summed up at a meeting in Astana under the leadership of Alikhan Smailov, Chairman of the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan.The meeting was attended by Filipa Urbano Calvão, President of the Court of Auditors of Portugal, Metin Yener, President of the Turkish Court of Accounts, Egidijus Navikas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Kazakhstan, officials from the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Senate, and the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and employees of the Supreme Audit Chamber.During the peer review, a comprehensive assessment of the compliance of the Kazakhstani state audit with the international standards of INTOSAI was carried out, the strengths of the SAC were identified, and directions for further improvement were determined.In their work, foreign colleagues analyzed the key audit files of the SAC and the national legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, conducted interviews with industry specialists, representatives of the Parliament, the Ministry of Finance, and other agencies.The auditors focused on important aspects of the SAC's activities, such as the planning and execution of audits, the applied methodology, quality management, the use of digital systems, reporting to the President and Parliament, and communication with the media and the public.Addressing the participants of the meeting, Alikhan Smailov emphasized that conducting peer review is a significant milestone in the development of the Supreme Audit Chamber. As part of this process, the institution has successfully implemented the 2021-2025 Development Strategy and adopted a new Strategy for 2026-2030. One of the key goals of these documents is to improve the activities and institutional capacity of state audit in Kazakhstan. According to Alikhan Smailov, all stages of audits in Kazakhstan are currently automated through the unified information system of the SAC, which is integrated with 14 information systems of government agencies. Об этом сообщил заместитель Премьер-министра – министр национальной экономики РК Серик Жумангарин, открывая в Астане V Международную масложировую конференцию FOC 2026: Fats and Oils Conference.В работе конференции принимают участие представители 18 государств, международных организаций, ведущих мировых компаний, финансовых институтов, отраслевых ассоциаций и экспертного сообщества.Серик Жумангарин отметил, что за последние годы масложировая отрасль превратилась из одного из сегментов агропромышленного комплекса в стратегически важное направление национальной экономики и стала успешным примером диверсификации экономики, развития переработки и создания продукции с высокой добавленной стоимостью.«Всего за четыре года валютная выручка от экспорта казахстанской масложировой продукции выросла в четыре раза — с $240 млн до $963 млн. Производство достигло рекордных 1,6 млн тонн, а доля отрасли в экспорте переработанной сельскохозяйственной продукции составила 27%. Это результат последовательной государственной политики по поддержке отечественных производителей, развитию переработки и привлечению инвестиций. Вместе с переработкой развивается и сельское хозяйство: расширяются посевные площади масличных культур, растет доходность фермерских хозяйств, создаются новые рабочие места, развивается транспортная и экспортная инфраструктура», — отметил вице-премьер.Сегодня Казахстан занимает шестое место в мире по экспорту подсолнечного масла и является вторым крупнейшим поставщиком этой продукции на рынок Китая. Кроме того, республика входит в число ведущих поставщиков подсолнечного шрота в Европейский союз и практически полностью обеспечивает потребности стран Центральной Азии.По словам Серика Жумангарина, следующая задача отрасли – перейти от статуса крупного экспортера к позиции одного из мировых лидеров. Paris, 5 June 2026 – A Kazakh delegation actively participated in the 27th session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (IHP) Council, where it presented the initiative of President of Kazakhstan on establishing an International Water Organization.The delegation included diplomats from the Permanent Delegation of Kazakhstan to UNESCO and Mr Alikhan Medeu, Chair of the National IHP Committee, Head of the Geospatial Economics Laboratory at the Institute of Geography and Water Security under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan Mr Alikhan Medeu.In his opening remarks, UNESCO Director-General Khaled El-Enany emphasized that water resources represent one of the key challenges of our time, directly linked to sustainable development, climate change, food security and peacebuilding. Astana, 4 June 2026 – Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alua Nadirkulova held a meeting with Secretary General of the Norwegian Helsinki Committee Berit Nising Lindeman.During the meeting, Ambassador-at-Large Nadirkulova briefed her counterpart on the implementation of Kazakhstan’s constitutional reforms aimed at strengthening the protection of human rights and freedoms. She noted that the Constitution clarifies provisions related to the right to work and the right to peaceful assembly, strengthens guarantees of judicial protection and the inviolability of the home, and for the first time enshrines the protection of personal data.Particular attention was paid to the reform of Kazakhstan’s penitentiary system.
