Tax arrears: a differentiated approach to recovery 11.09.2025

Kazakhstan's GDP growth in 8 months amounted to 6.5% 11.09.2025
According to operational data from the Bureau of National Statistics, Kazakhstan's GDP grew by 6.5% in the first eight months of 2025.The main growth factors were the positive dynamics in trade, industry and communications.The industry increased by 7.6%. There is an acceleration in the growth rate in the manufacturing sector, where growth was 6.5% compared to the same period in 2024.The main drivers of the manufacturing industry are mechanical engineering (+15.1%), food production (+10.1%), oil refining (+7.6%), chemical industry (+7.5%) and metallurgy (+1.1%).Trade recorded an increase of 8.9%, mainly due to wholesale trade, which accounts for 66.6% of the industry. One-click Ambulance: Digital technologies increase transparency of Kostanay's emergency services 11.09.2025
Residents of Kostanay will now be able to track the movement of ambulances on their call on the map in real time. This solution was implemented by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly with the Akimat of Kostanay region and in cooperation with Yandex Qazaqstan. It will be possible to observe the movement of the brigade on the map in the browser. The solution should significantly reduce the burden on dispatchers. This was stated by the Head of Yandex Qazaqstan Timur Shalekenov during a meeting with Akim of Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov and Vice Minister of Digital Development Dmitry Moon at the QostanAI Investment Forum. It will be possible to monitor the movement of the ambulance team on the map in the browser, and in the future — in the Yandex Go application. As expected, this solution can significantly reduce the burden on dispatchers. After calling an ambulance, the system will automatically send an SMS with a link to a map where the movement of the brigade will be displayed in real time. The solution is implemented using the JavaScript API from Yandex Maps. The new solution is aimed at increasing the transparency of the work of emergency services, reducing the burden on dispatchers and improving the quality of interaction with the public. В Министерстве национальной экономики под председательством заместителя Премьер-Министра – министра Серика Жумангарина состоялось совещание, посвящённое реализации Послания Президента Касым-Жомарта Токаева народу Казахстана «Казахстан в эпоху искусственного интеллекта: актуальные задачи и их решения через цифровую трансформацию» от 8 сентября 2025 года.Совещание прошло в развитие поручений Премьер-Министра Олжаса Бектенова, данных на заседании Правительства.Серик Жумангарин подчеркнул важность поддержания устойчивого экономического роста. Для сдерживания темпов инфляции и цен на регулируемые услуги Комитету по регулированию естественных монополий поручено в недельный срок представить предложения по пересмотру тарифов. Также будет обновлен комплекс мер по контролю и снижению уровня инфляции.Ключевым направлением определён запуск нового инвестиционного цикла. Министерство национальной экономики совместно с Министерством иностранных дел подготовит план действий по модернизации системы привлечения инвестиций. Холдинг «Байтерек» займётся анализом и структурированием перспективных проектов с участием отечественного и иностранного капитала.Особое внимание уделено развитию города Алатау как нового центра деловой активности и инноваций. Для снижения административной нагрузки Министерство национальной экономики продолжит работу по устранению барьеров для бизнеса и актуализации Реестра обязательных требований. Periodic tax audits are conducted according to a strict, pre-approved schedule, which cannot be changed. This schedule is published by:      - December 25 of the preceding year​            - May 25 of the current yearAn unscheduled audit is conducted outside of the regular schedule for specific reasons:a request or complaint from the taxpayer.​liquidation or termination of business activities, or deregistration for VAT.​a claim for a refund of excess VAT.​application of international agreements.​criminal procedural grounds.​non-compliance with a notification from tax authorities.​completion of a subsoil use contract.​issues related to fictitious invoices.​settlements with debtors.​a request from the taxpayer.​A decision by an authorized body or court.​to control banks and financial organizations.​to assess the general performance of tax obligations.Some unscheduled inspections may be repeated for a period that has already been audited if justified.An exception is if a complaint has been filed with the court; in this case, a second inspection will not be conducted until the court's decision is final.​For companies participating in horizontal monitoring, tax inspections are generally not conducted. Withholding Corporate Income Tax 10.09.2025
One of the significant sources of budget revenue is the corporate income tax (CIT) withheld from the income of non-residents without a permanent establishment in the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to the Tax Code, tax agents are responsible for calculating and withholding CIT when paying income to non-residents.
