On February 24, a working meeting of the Vice Minister of Emergency Situations Batyrbek Abdishev with representatives of the International Scientific and Technical Center (ISTC) was held at the Strategic Planning and Operational Command Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. An agreement was signed in Beijing between the National Scientific Center for Seismological Observation and Research of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Institute of Geophysics of the Earthquake Agency of the People's Republic of China. Currently, more than 1,300 drug addicts are registered in the region. Of these, 900 people are in Ust-Kamenogorsk. In addition to medical treatment, drug addicts are provided with psychological assistance. According to experts, synthetic drugs are dozens of times more dangerous than heroin.
