53 tons of waste were removed from the bottom of Lake Karasu in Almaty 16.11.2024
During a working detour of the Alatau district, Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev got acquainted with the results of work on cleaning Lake Karasu.Residents of the eponymous microdistrict asked the mayor of the city to put Lake Karasu in order. On behalf of Yerbolat Dosayev, a corresponding project was developed and coordinated with the Balkhash-Alakol Basin Inspectorate. The contractor, TOLAGAI–2050 LLP, started mechanical cleaning of the reservoir in March 2023 and was supposed to be completed by September. The deadline for the completion of the project had to be postponed to August of this year, due to the fact that the thickness of the bottom silt turned out to be several times greater than expected during the design (100-120 cm instead of 30 cm). In addition, the timing was affected by the need to build a temporary road along the bottom of the lake for the passage of heavy equipment. Initially, it was planned to carry out cleaning in winter, when the ground freezes. After the completion of the work on cleaning the lake, the temporary road was removed along with the silt. It should be noted that such work was carried out for the first time in the entire existence of the pond. As a result, 53 tons of waste and 10 thousand cubic meters of silt deposits were removed from the bottom of the lake. At the same time, spillway structures were built to regulate the water level and prevent its overflow over the banks. The project allowed to solve a number of problems that the townspeople complained about, first of all, thanks to the cleaning, the ecological balance of the water area and the biodiversity of the reservoir will be restored. The lake will again be comfortable for the residents of the neighborhood and will become a point of attraction for all citizens and guests of the city.During the detour, residents of the Karasu microdistrict, thanking for the work done to clean up the lake, asked the head of the city to build a pedestrian zone around the reservoir. To this, Mayor of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev replied that on his behalf, an improvement project will be developed, which will take into account requests for the construction of walking and active areas for sports.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/almaty/press/news/details/883394
A new pedestrian zone has been built in the Alatau district of Almaty 16.11.2024
During a working detour of the Alatau district, Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev got acquainted with the progress of landscaping of the park on Baganaly Orda Street in the MKR. Karasu. The project was implemented under the program "Budget of public participation". The construction of a new 800 m long walking area between Moyldy and Kalambayev Streets began in July this year and will be completed next month. It became a continuation of the 400-meter strip repaired last year between Shayakhmetov and Moyildy streets. Thus, a single walking area with a length of 1200 m has been created. To implement the project, the area overgrown with weeds and thorns was cleared, leveled, paved with asphalt and paving stones. Landscaping was carried out on an area of 55.4 thousand square meters with a 950 m automatic irrigation system. 150 lanterns, benches and urns are also installed for the convenience of residents. The total area of the renovated territory was 6.5 hectares. After reviewing the work done, the Mayor of Almaty stressed the need for timely completion of the project, as well as the planting of large-sized trees. He also noted the contribution of residents to the development of public spaces."Your caring attitude and activity help the akimat of the district and the city to direct funds for landscaping and creation of comfortable green areas. By participating in the Budget of People's Participation program and offering your projects, you make your significant contribution to the prosperity of our beloved city," Yerbolat Dosayev said, urging citizens to maintain order in the renovated territories and educate children with a sense of respect and respect for urban spaces.Residents expressed gratitude to the mayor of the city for the transformed space."Now we walk here with our families, meet with friends and spend time usefully. Traffic on the new bridge in the Zhetysu district of Almaty will open on November 22 under favorable weather conditions 16.11.2024
During a working detour of the Zhetysu district, Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev inspected the bridge under construction across the Yesentai River in the Kemel microdistrict. Earlier, on behalf of the head of the megalopolis, traffic on the bridge was closed due to its emergency condition.A technical inspection of the bridge structure, built in the 1960s, carried out in June, revealed partial destruction of concrete structures, the appearance of cracks on the bridge supports, the absence of a deformation seam, and more. In this regard, it was decided to build a new bridge as part of the emergency.Initially, it was planned to open traffic for transport at the end of October. However, due to the structure of the soil, it became necessary to install 29-meter bored piles instead of the planned 9-meter ones. In addition, during the preparation of the foundation for special equipment, the pedestrian part of the bridge collapsed in the riverbed. This part was supposed to be dismantled after the new bridge was built, but due to the collapse, it had to be disassembled earlier. Thus, the deadlines for the execution of the work were shifted. As the head of the Department of Urban Mobility Sagyndyk Telibayev reported to the head of the city, work has been carried out on the installation and testing of piles, the installation of supports, retaining walls, the installation of beams and the reconstruction of engineering networks. The facility was also tested. As a result of the reconstruction, the length of the bridge will be increased from 16.8 to 33 meters, and the width from 8.5 to 14.5 meters. In addition, it is planned to install sidewalks of 1.5 m on both sides."The bridge provides transport connectivity for residents of several neighborhoods and nearby villages. This is an important infrastructure facility, so the construction was carried out as soon as possible. Geology revealed the instability of the soils, so it was decided to install piles to a depth of almost 30 meters, and the bridge was also doubled in length. The main amount of work has been completed, the movement must be opened by the end of next week and then work on the pedestrian part and the surrounding area will be completed," Yerbolat Dosayev said.It should be recalled that until the completion of repair work on the construction of a new bridge, a detour of the specified section is provided through Mukhamedzhan Seralin Street.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/almaty/press/news/details/883415

The Caspian coast is under surveillance: scientists are investigating the causes of seal deaths 16.11.2024
From October 24 to November 13, 2024, specialists of the Zhaiyk-Caspian interregional Basin Fisheries Inspection found 1,034 seal carcasses washed up on the coast of the Caspian Sea in the Tupkaragan district of the Mangystau region.During monitoring and collaboration with scientific organizations such as the Institute of Hydrobiology and Ecology, the Center for the Study and Rehabilitation of Seals and the Scientific Research Center of the Research Institute of Microbiology and Virology, a partial selection of tissues of dead animals was carried out for further research. The Fisheries Committee suggests that the cause could be natural phenomena, including emissions of natural gases due to underwater earthquakes. Final conclusions on the causes of death of seals will be received after the completion of laboratory studies, which, according to scientific organizations, will take 3-4 months. The Fish Inspectorate continues to constantly monitor the waters of the territorial waters to identify the factors of death of seals. The staff of the Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee also took samples of pathological material, which are currently undergoing research for the presence of infectious diseases at the National Veterinary Reference Center in Astana. As of November 13, 2024, all samples examined by PCR for pasteurellosis, avian influenza, carnivorous plague, salmonellosis and listeriosis showed negative results.Monitoring of the Caspian Sea coast continues. It is worth noting that cases of mass deaths of seals in the Caspian Sea have been recorded since the early 2000s. In particular, in 2000, about 10,000 dead individuals were identified, and chronic toxicosis was named as the cause of their death.
