Determining the country of origin of goods plays a significant role in the international trade system. The correct identification of origin is essential for the application of customs duties, trade policy measures, restrictions, and for maintaining accurate foreign trade statistics.When a product is not covered by international agreements on tariff preferences, its origin is determined for non-preferential purposes in accordance with the general rules established by international and regional legal acts.The legal regulation of the rules of origin is based on the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated 29 May 2014, the EAEU Customs Code (Chapter 4), and Decision No. 49 of the EEC Council dated 13 July 2018.
