From December 9 to 13, 2024, Astana hosts the II Republican Contest of Young Pianists "Astana Piano Passion", organized by the Kazakh National University of Arts with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.The competition is aimed at developing the national piano school and supporting gifted young musicians, as well as popularizing classical and academic music, music by Kazakhstani composers and piano performance. The organizers set themselves the tasks of improving the performance skills of the participants, promoting their professional development and preparing for international projects. In addition, they strive to draw attention to classical music and create conditions for the exchange of experience between teachers and students.The competition is open to young pianists between the ages of 7 and 18, studying Piano at educational institutions of culture and art in Kazakhstan. At the same time, the winners of the Grand Prix and the first places of previous competitions cannot participate in the current competition in their age category.
