Preventive work continues in the regions to ensure fire safety in private residential buildings.So, last weekend in the Alatau district of Almaty, a large-scale preventive action "Ortsiz omir - kaipsiz bolashak" was held with the participation of employees of the emergency department, the district akimat, volunteers, the gas service and public figures.During the event, the specialists of the Emergency Department informed the residents of about 2,297 houses. Carbon monoxide detection sensors have been installed in 16 houses of needy families, which are heated with coal and firewood.The head of the Emergency Department of Almaty, Nurlan Atygaev, reported on the measures taken to improve security in private homes. Special attention is paid to socially vulnerable categories of the population, including large families, pensioners and people with limited mobility."Since 2018, about 1,500 carbon monoxide sensors have been installed in Almaty for low-income families free of charge. Atygaev said.Akimats of the districts have identified 901 families belonging to socially vulnerable segments of the population for targeted assistance.
