A formal ceremony was held at the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy of the United Arab Emirates for the graduates of the Global Connections program, organized for diplomats from the countries of Central Asia from 8 to 11 December of this year.Young representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan – A. Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aidar Abildabekov made a working trip to the Turkestan region, during which he familiarized himself with the activities of industrial enterprises located in the SEZ "Turan", industrial zones of the region, and also held a meeting with business representatives and exporters.During the trip, the vice-minister visited a number of enterprises implementing large-scale production projects. In SEZ "Turan" Aidar Abildabekov got acquainted with the activities of LLP "Kazakhstan Lihua", which develops a full-cycle textile cluster - from growing cotton to the production of finished products. The project is aimed at the implementation of the tasks of the Head of State on the development of agriculture and the introduction of advanced agricultural technologies. As part of the project, it is planned to create the largest cotton complex in Central Asia on an area of 60 thousand hectares of irrigated land in Otyrar and Aryssky districts, as well as to open more than 1.4 thousand permanent and more than 300 temporary jobs, where it is planned to produce, including export-oriented products.In addition, the vice-minister visited LLP "ER-QAN GROUP", specializing in the production of polyethylene bags in rolls and disposable plastic dishes. At the production site of the Sauran region, Abildabekov got acquainted with the production of industrial refrigerators by UBC Group LLP and the work of Sauran Plast LLP, which produces plastic products. These companies are already exporting their products. Also, the vice-minister visited the new multifunctional complex "Turan mall" and familiarized himself with its work.In the industrial zone of the Ordabasin district, the vice-minister familiarized himself with the projects of Altyn bricks LLP for the production of construction materials and Central Asia aluminum LLP for the production of aluminum products, including those aimed at export.After the visit, an extended meeting was held with exporters and entrepreneurs of the region. More than 100 businessmen took part in the meeting, which took place in the center "Uly Dala Ely". During the meeting, the issues of obtaining CE (Conformite European) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) certificates for the export of children's hygiene products abroad, participation in public procurement, export of furniture to the Republic of Uzbekistan, the creation of a separate electronic queue for exporters at the border with China, the correctness of specifying invoice numbers, barriers to the export of products to the Russian Federation were considered. A Reading Contest of Abai’s “Kara sozder” Dedicated to the Poet’s 180th Anniversary Held in Istanbul 15.12.2025

UN marks first World Turkic Language Family Day 15.12.2025
The UN cultural agency, UNESCO, is preparing to celebrate the first ever World Turkic Language Family Day on Monday, following a decision by UNESCO’s General Conference in Samarkand to establish 15 December as an annual observance.The new commemoration highlights the shared linguistic and cultural heritage of Turkic-speaking peoples and reinforces UNESCO’s wider commitment to multilingualism and cultural diversity.A historic dateThe choice of 15 December is rooted in a landmark moment in linguistic scholarship. Efforts to create a comfortable living environment for residents are ongoing in the settlement of Zhosaly. 15.12.2025
In accordance with the Decree of the Head of State, the meetings of the district akim and rural district akims with local residents were concluded today in Zhosaly settlement. During the meeting, District Akim Zhandos Erkinbek reported to the public on the work carried out in the second half of 2025 and outlined the progress of several development projects.This year, within the framework of the “Auyl – El Besigi” program, the major renovation of M. Shyngysov Street was fully completed, while major repair works on N. Nakypov Street are ongoing with funding from the regional budget. In addition, Altynasar Street underwent medium-level repairs and has been put into operation.Landscaping and improvement of the settlement remain a key priority. In 2025, a children’s playground and a football field were built on M. Kudabayev and I. Musirbayev Streets and handed over for public use. A total of 58.4 million tenge was allocated for these purposes. At the request of residents, construction of a new playground worth 14.8 million tenge is currently underway on S. Kshenov Street. Furthermore, routine repair works were carried out on previously built playgrounds, improving their safety standards.Significant work has also been completed on the construction of pedestrian pathways. New sidewalks were built on N. Baizakty, T. Ryskulov, and E. Seksenbayev Streets. Currently, construction is underway on pedestrian paths along M. Shokay and U. Tomanov Streets with funding of 69.7 million tenge, as well as on Kh. Zhomartov Street, for which 22.3 million tenge has been allocated.At present, the level of night-time street lighting coverage in Zhosaly settlement has reached 86 percent. In addition, as part of the “Taza Kazakhstan” environmental campaign, regular community clean-up activities are being held, and systematic sanitation work is being carried out across the settlement.The meeting with residents was also broadcast live on social media, during which questions from viewers were addressed. The Astana Development Plan for 2026–2030 Was Approved by the City Maslikhat 15.12.2025
Today, at a meeting of the city maslikhat, the Astana Development Plan for 2026–2030 was approved. Deputy Akim of the city, Yevgeniy Glotov, presented the deputies with a comprehensive plan developed in accordance with the Law on Local Public Administration and Self-Government and the National Development Plan of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2029.The Development Plan outlines three key priorities:A Competitive City — attracting investment, creating a favorable business environment, and improving the quality of life for residents.Human Capital Development — enhancing education and healthcare systems and supporting citizens’ professional growth.A Comfortable Urban Environment — improving environmental conditions and creating a safe and convenient urban space.The plan places particular emphasis on the development of key economic clusters in Astana, including industry, the transport and logistics sector, fintech, and IT. It envisages a further increase in their share of the city’s Gross Regional Product (GRP).By 2030, the following key targets are planned to be achieved: doubling the GRP to 30 trillion tenge, attracting 26.3 trillion tenge in investments, increasing exports of manufactured products to USD 6.7 billion, and boosting the annual tourist flow to 2.8 million people.In addition, the plan includes indicators for increasing labor productivity, developing small and medium-sized enterprises, and promoting innovation. In the area of human capital development, priority will be given to improving education levels, enhancing the efficiency of medical care, and increasing the targeting of social support. In education, it is planned to bring school infrastructure comfort and the quality of instruction up to international standards. In healthcare, the expansion of the network of medical institutions and the introduction of innovative treatment methods are envisaged. In the social protection sector, requirements for the quality of special social services and the creation of an inclusive environment will be strengthened.In shaping a comfortable urban environment, issues related to transport, energy, utilities, architecture, construction, and ecology are taken into account.
