Vienna, 8 June 2026 – During the 35th session of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ), Kazakhstan, jointly with Belarus, secured the consensus adoption of the resolution entitled “Countering Trafficking in Persons for the Purpose of Compelled Criminal Activity”. The resolution represents a significant contribution to strengthening international efforts aimed at combating contemporary forms of human exploitation.The resolution addresses one of the fastest-growing and most dangerous forms of trafficking in persons, whereby victims are coerced into committing criminal offences for the benefit of organized criminal groups. Such offences include online fraud, illicit drug trafficking, theft, financial crimes, and other forms of unlawful activity.The document calls for enhanced international cooperation, improved mechanisms for the prevention, detection, and suppression of such crimes, strengthened measures for the protection, assistance, and rehabilitation of victims of trafficking in persons, as well as increased effectiveness in the criminal prosecution of those who organize and profit from these criminal schemes.The drafting process involved extensive intergovernmental consultations and substantive negotiations on a number of sensitive and principled issues. Despite the complexity of the negotiations, the resolution was ultimately adopted by consensus, reflecting the broad recognition by UN Member States of the urgency of this issue and the need for collective action in response to emerging challenges in the field of trafficking in persons.This achievement was made possible through the active and constructive engagement of Kazakhstan and Belarus throughout all stages of the drafting process. Enjoying a high level of trust and credibility among UN Member States, Kazakhstan played a key coordinating role in the negotiations, facilitating the development of balanced language and the achievement of consensus among delegations. Belarus, in turn, made a substantial expert contribution to the substantive development of the resolution. Prague, 6 June 2026 – Kazakhstan was represented at the Festival of Embassies, an annual event held in the Czech capital which has become one of Prague’s most prominent international cultural and culinary events.This year’s festival brought together representatives from more than 60 countries. They introduced Czech officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and thousands of Prague residents and visitors to their musical and cultural traditions, elements of intangible heritage, and national cuisines.The Kazakh stand highlighted the country’s distinctive culture and warm hospitality. Kazakhstan becomes the first country in the region to launch a full-scale urban air mobility ecosystem: air taxis, delivery drones, and digital navigation.A significant step toward a technological future has been taken in Kazakhstan: at the Alatau City site, with the support of the Ministry of AI and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the first demonstration flight of an innovative electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft - an eVTOL, more commonly known as an air taxi - was successfully conducted.The project is entirely funded through private investment by the Kazakhstani company Alatau Advance Air Group Ltd. (AAAG), in partnership with leading technology players from the United States, China, South Korea, and Italy. The total investment in the development of urban air mobility across the region is estimated at $300 million USD.The centerpiece of the presentation was a flight by the AutoFlight Prosperity passenger aircraft, designed to carry one pilot and five passengers. The vehicle is equipped with 13 electric motors, can reach speeds of up to 200 km/h, and is capable of traveling up to 200 km on a single charge. Unlike conventional aviation, this mode of transport operates almost silently and produces zero CO₂ emissions. During a control operation on price stabilization for socially significant food products in the Almaty region, violations of legislative requirements were identified by a number of large trade entities. In particular, individual entrepreneur "Omarov", LLP "Iceberg Distribution", and LLP "Ar Dias" purchased socially significant food products at low prices and sold them to other trade entities with an unjustified trade markup ranging from 17% to 86%.Based on these facts, unscheduled inspections were appointed. Following their results, administrative measures were applied to the violators and fines were imposed.Since the beginning of the year, as part of control measures against 171 trade entities, 643 administrative protocols have been drawn up for a total amount exceeding 3.4 million tenge. Of these, 467 protocols were issued for exceeding the maximum permissible size of the trade markup on socially significant food products, and another 176 for violations of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the regulation of trade activities.Overall, since the beginning of the year, inspections have established that one retail chain, one wholesale trading platform, and 11 trade entities applied unjustified trade markups on socially significant food products ranging from 40% to 203.8%.Furthermore, as part of implementing Government instructions on regulating the activities of food markets and eliminating inefficient intermediaries, the regional commission conducted unscheduled inspections of 13 trade entities at the "Altyn Orda" market. Based on the inspection results, 7 inefficient intermediaries were removed from the supply chains.Currently, a list of producers and large suppliers in the region has been compiled. Work also continues on identifying and eliminating intermediary schemes through the analysis of electronic invoices.During the analysis of electronic invoices received from state revenue authorities, violations were also identified among a number of large trade entities engaged in the sale of socially significant food products. Geneva, June 8, 2026 — Kazakhstan presented its vision for the future of the labor market in the age of artificial intelligence at the 114th Session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva.Speaking at the plenary session, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askarbek Yertayev emphasized that the new technological reality requires governments to move from reacting to consequences to proactively protecting workers. He noted that by 2035, artificial intelligence is expected to affect nearly half of all occupations in Kazakhstan. At the same time, this does not mean that jobs will disappear, but rather that work functions will evolve, workers will need new skills, and employers will have to adapt to changing demands.In his statement, the Minister underlined that Kazakhstan is proactively developing an employment forecasting system, the National Center for the Transformation of Occupations, and digital employment services. The implementation of a labeling and traceability system for footwear products continues in Kazakhstan. The primary goal of introducing this labeling system is to ensure transparency in the supply chain, protect consumers from counterfeit products, and create a level playing field for legitimate businesses.According to the Rules for the Labeling and Traceability of Footwear Products, approved by Order No. 518 of the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 30, 2021, all footwear products subject to mandatory labeling must have a unique DataMatrix identification code that allows tracking the product’s path from the manufacturer or importer to the end consumer.   Labeling ensures full control over the movement of footwear products at every stage of the supply chain. Information on the production, import, storage, sale, and removal of goods from circulation is recorded in the Information System for Marking and Traceability of Goods (IS MTP). This significantly reduces the risk of illegal products entering the market.For consumers, the marking serves as an additional guarantee of the quality and authenticity of the product. Using mobile apps and verification tools, citizens can verify the legality of the products they purchase and obtain information about the goods.Participants in the footwear supply chain—manufacturers, importers, wholesalers, and retailers—are required to comply with legal requirements regarding the labeling and traceability of goods. В Казахстане продолжается совершенствование системы привлечения инвестиций в рамках Концепции инвестиционной политики до 2030 года. Все действующие меры по привлечению инвестиций сохраняются, при этом внедряются новые механизмы для повышения эффективности работы с инвесторами. Об этом на пресс-конференции в СЦК сообщил вице-министр национальной экономики Арман Касенов.Как отметил спикер, планируется усилить внешний контур привлечения инвестиций за счет открытия зарубежных представительств в ключевых инвестиционных центрах мира. Они будут выполнять функции фронт-офисов по сопровождению инвесторов и перспективных проектов. Также проводится трансформация институтов развития. «В структуре холдинга «Байтерек» создана Инвестиционная служба, включающая четыре отраслевые инвестиционные дирекции. Их задачей станет качественная подготовка инвестиционных проектов с учетом потребностей регионов и последующая передача проектов в компанию Kazakh Invest», - сообщил Арман Касенов. Кроме того, на базе Kazakh Invest будет создан единый центр поддержки инвесторов «Kazakhstan Investment House», который будет предоставлять комплексные услуги по принципу «одного окна». «Особое внимание уделяется формированию новых инвестиционных проектов. Совместно с бизнес-сообществом определяются перспективные направления с высоким потенциалом импортозамещения и экспорта. "Provision of public apostille services"One of the public services provided by the Department of State Revenue in Kostanay region is "Apostille of official documents originating from state revenue authorities."The purpose of the apostille affixing procedure is to ensure the authenticity and proper registration of apostille documents intended for use in the territory of the countries participating in the Hague Convention.To receive public services, service recipients - individuals and legal entities have the right to submit an application:1. to the non-profit joint-stock company State Corporation "Government for Citizens" in paper form,2. through the e-government web portal www.egov.kz (hereinafter referred to as the portal),3. directly to the service provider, i.e. to the State Revenue Department in paper form,4. Today, at a Government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, issues of tourism development were considered. The regional akim, Murat Ergeshbayev, participated in the meeting via video conference.Following the Government meeting, specific instructions were given to the responsible heads of sectors regarding this and other issues.The head of the region instructed to organize the work of rescue groups and first aid points in tourist zones to prevent emergencies. It is necessary to develop proposals for providing recreational areas with safety instructions, strict control over compliance with sanitary requirements, and ensuring tourist zones have communication channels.It is important to enhance information and explanatory work on television channels, social media, and internet resources to widely promote safety measures, and to regularly conduct raids in recreational areas and at unauthorized water bodies.The meeting also analyzed the work carried out in the direction of flood prevention. During the last winter-spring period, the situation in the region was stable. In 2024, protective dams were restored at 27 facilities in the region, and 13 facilities were repaired last year. Currently, 12 facilities have been identified that require repair and restoration.In this regard, it is necessary to repair the "Kumsai", "Koltogan", "Kyrash", and "Manap" reservoirs, reconstruct the "Zhideli" reservoir, and restore protective structures near the "Terenozek-Shagan" bridge in the Syrdarya district.Responsible specialists were instructed to repair the spillway and protective dam of the "Akshakyz" canal, the gates and dams of the spillway on the "Kalgandarya" section, and restore the protective dam on the "Korkyt Ata" section of the SyrDarya River.Additionally, specific tasks were given for the construction of a spillway on the canal supplying water to the "Kelintobe" main canal, and the restoration of protective dams on the "Rismash" section, near the "Bolashak" University.Currently, there are 6 industrial zones operating in the region. Last year, by a Government decree, the "Korkyt Ata" special economic zone was established in the city of Kyzylorda.
