As of November 1, more than 109 thousand people received benefits in the amount of 77.3 billion tenge. In total, 91 billion tenge is provided for these purposes in 2024.Today, more than 585,000 families are recipients of benefits for large families, the amount of which is determined based on the number of children. The introduction of the current benefit payment mechanism is one of the reasons for the increase in the number of recipients by more than 2 times, from 252 thousand families in 2019 to 585 thousand families on November 1, 2024.Within the framework of the Social Code, the amount of benefits for mothers awarded the Altyn Alka pendant, who gave birth and raised 7 or more children, was increased. It should be noted that in comparison with 2019, the number of newly appointed recipients of this benefit has a positive trend. Compared to the previous month, the activity of search and hiring decreased: the number of vacancies decreased by 9% (13 thousand), and resumes – by 13% (16.5 thousand). The decline in activity is explained by a decrease in supply and demand in the field of education, probably due to the completion of staffing in educational institutions.However, as in September, the transition to the heating season caused an increase in demand for workers in the maintenance and operation of thermal and boiler equipment.So, last month the number of vacancies for boiler room operators increased (+5,9 thousand), boiler room machinists (+1,1 thousand), and boilermakers (+969). The results of the startup projects competition aimed at developing innovative IT solutions to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities have been summed up in Almaty. Six winning teams received grants for the implementation of their ideas in the amount of 1 million tenge, another team - 500 thousand tenge. In the near future, they will start making prototypes of their projects.The event was organized within the framework of the ITMLab project, which is implemented by the ITeachMe Foundation in partnership with Chevron and with the support of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.As previously reported, hackathons on the selection of startup projects to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities (hereinafter - LSI) were held in the cities of Almaty and Astana.During the final presentation, 18 teams presented their projects, the ideas of which they finalized during the month under the guidance of professional teachers.All projects are aimed at ensuring the availability of technology, improving communication, increasing mobility and creating conditions for an inclusive society, which contributes to a significant improvement in the quality of life of LSI.After completing the presentations, the jury selected 6 teams that received grants intended for the implementation of prototypes in the amount of 1 million tenge. As of November 1, 2024, state labor inspectors at 264 enterprises of the republic revealed wage arrears to 17.8 thousand employees in the amount of 3.9 billion tenge. In addition, during the inspections conducted in various organizations, more than 7.1 thousand violations of labor rights were revealed.The heads of enterprises where salary arrears were identified were issued 235 mandatory orders and fines in the amount of more than 46.5 million tenge were imposed.As a result of the measures taken, including the establishment of strict schedules and deadlines for repayment of wage arrears, the rights of more than 16.5 thousand employees are protected.
