The "Zhas Koldaushi" youth forum was held in Kostanay, with the participation of regional akim Kumar Aksakalov.The regional governor reported that 6,859 crimes were registered in the region in 2022. 79 units of special equipment have been delivered to forestry enterprises in the Kostanay region 30.01.2026
On the instruction of the Head of State, a large-scale modernization of the system for combating natural fires and updating the material and technical base of the forestry sector is being carried out.The Akim (Governor) of the Kostanay region, Kumar Aksakalov, handed over specialized firefighting equipment in the amount of 79 units to the region's forestry institutions. Thirty-six forest fire complexes, 17 tractors, and 26 patrol cars have been transferred to the disposal of the forestry institutions. The received equipment will significantly increase the speed of response to fire outbreaks and strengthen preventive work during the fire-dangerous period."Over the past three years, 8 billion tenge has been allocated for equipping forestry institutions. During this period, 26 fire trucks, 86 tractors, 39 small forest fire complexes, and 78 units of motor vehicles were purchased. This year, the delivery of another 25 fire trucks and 9 tractors is expected, which will further strengthen the material and technical base of the industry," noted the Akim of the Kostanay region.Along with the renewal of equipment, work is underway in the region to strengthen personnel potential. The Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting of the Situation Headquarters for the Protection of Domestic Dairy Producers 29.01.2026
On January 28, 2026, a meeting of the Situation Headquarters for Domestic Market Protection, chaired by Aidar Akhmetbekovich Abildabekov, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was held. $335 million in record contracts: results of Kazakhstan's business program at Gulfood 2026 29.01.2026
A record-breaking package of export and investment documents worth $335.4 million was signed at the Gulfood 2026 international exhibition in Dubai. The agreements were reached during a roundtable discussion organized by the QazTrade trade policy development center and became one of the key practical outcomes of Kazakhstan's participation in the world's largest food industry exhibition.The event was attended by over 35 representatives of Kazakhstani businesses and over 50 foreign companies and organizations from the UAE, the Gulf states, Turkey, China, and other markets. The roundtable brought together producers, traders, distributors, representatives of chain retailers, HoReCa, and investment structures, and was focused on concluding specific commercial agreements.A total of 19 documents were signed or announced, covering the export of grain, highly processed grain products, oil and fat products, confectionery, legumes, and rice, as well as the distribution of Kazakhstani food products in the UAE market. The largest agreements relate to the supply of grain crops. Cooperation agreements for the export of up to 800,000 tons of grain with partners from the UAE and Oman, worth over $240 million, have been established. Separate contracts cover the supply of durum wheat, feed flour, legumes, and rice, as well as the development of distribution channels through local retail chains and specialized distributors. A number of memorandums are aimed at creating a sustainable infrastructure for the presence of Kazakhstani companies in the region, ranging from logistics and service solutions to the promotion of high-value-added products.The roundtable, organized by QazTrade, served as a working platform for substantive dialogue between producers and foreign partners. Discussions focused on the transition from one-time deliveries to long-term contracts, GCC market requirements for quality and certification, logistics, and the development of direct B2B supply chains without intermediaries.The business program also included a working meeting between Arman Shakkaliyev, Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the management of LuLu Group International, one of the largest retail chains in the Middle East and Asia.The parties discussed expanding the presence of Kazakh goods in the LuLu retail chain, developing direct contracts with domestic producers, and increasing the supply of high-value-added products. Special attention was paid to investment opportunities, including the development of logistics and warehousing infrastructure in Kazakhstan, packaging and pre-sale preparation projects, and the development of long-term purchasing programs for export markets.The signed agreements and negotiations take place against the backdrop of Kazakhstan's first-ever participation in Gulfood with a single National Pavilion. The exhibition, held in Dubai from January 26 to 30, is a key global platform for the international trade of food and beverage products. Priorities of educational work with student youth for 2026 have been identified in Kostanay 29.01.2026
The implementation and widespread promotion of the "Adal Azamat" (Honest Citizen), "Law and Order", and "Taza Kazakhstan" (Clean Kazakhstan) initiatives among student youth are defined as one of the key directions for the upcoming period. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing the legal culture of youth, strengthening civic position, and forming the values of honest work and responsibility to society.There are 33 organizations of technical, vocational, and post-secondary education operating in the Kostanay region. Approximately 22 thousand students are enrolled in these educational institutions, which indicates the significant role of the TVET system in shaping the region's human resource potential.In the 2025–2026 academic year, educational work in colleges is focused on fostering diligence, professionalism, patriotism, civic responsibility, and respect for the law. Within the framework of the "Law and Order" project, more than 120 preventive and educational events have been conducted, reaching over 5 thousand students. In the first half of the year, special attention was paid to case coworking sessions with criminologists, meetings of discussion clubs, bullying prevention trainings, and dialogue platforms in the format of open discussions.Alongside educational work, the system of extracurricular student engagement is actively developing. There are 230 interest-based clubs operating in the region's colleges, involving more than 6 thousand students. In addition to traditional areas, modern and innovative formats such as robotics and 3D modeling are being actively introduced.The debate movement plays an important role in developing leadership qualities, communication skills, and critical thinking. В Правительстве под председательством заместителя Премьер-министра – министра национальной экономики Серика Жумангарина состоялось первое заседание Межведомственной рабочей группы по развитию сотрудничества с Афганистаном.Как отметил вице-премьер, рабочая группа создана для обеспечения согласованной и системной работы на афганском направлении. Координация текущих вопросов взаимодействия с афганской стороной возложена на заместителя председателя рабочей группы – Специального представителя Президента РК по Афганистану, Посла по особым поручениям МИД Еркина Тукумова.Серик Жумангарин подчеркнул, что Главой государства поставлены конкретные задачи по развитию транспортных коридоров, торгово-экономического и гуманитарного взаимодействия. При этом текущие темпы требуют усиления межведомственной координации и более глубокой проработки инициатив. Ключевая задача рабочей группы – формирование целостного и системного подхода, а также сокращение избыточных бюрократических процедур. Отмечено, что потенциал сотрудничества с Афганистаном используется не в полной мере. Рабочая группа должна стать единой переговорной площадкой и обеспечить оперативное решение вопросов на исполнительном уровне.В ходе заседания рассмотрены перспективы взаимодействия в сферах транспорта и логистики, энергетики, здравоохранения и образования, а также реализация совместных проектов, включая горно-металлургическую отрасль. Отмечено, что в 2025 году гуманитарная помощь Афганистану оказывалась дважды, а за последние пять лет общий объем поставок составил 6,4 млрд тенге.Вице-министр транспорта Жанибек Тайжанов проинформировал о ходе реализации проекта строительства железной дороги «Тургунди – Герат – Кандагар – Спин-Болдак» через территорию Афганистана (CASA), который реализуется в плановом режиме. Казахстанской стороной разработан и направлен в Министерство энергетики и инфраструктуры ОАЭ проект трехстороннего меморандума, подписание которого планируется в феврале текущего года. Также прорабатывается подписание отдельного меморандума с Министерством железных дорог Пакистана. Пакистанская сторона поддерживает предложенный маршрут.Вице-министр науки и высшего образования Гульзат Кобенова сообщила, что в настоящее время 610 афганских студентов обучаются в 34 вузах Казахстана. Оценки Международного валютного фонда, указывающие на риск возможного «перегрева» экономики Казахстана, требуют дополнительного контекста с учетом структурных изменений, происходящих в стране.  Анализ ключевых макроэкономических показателей свидетельствует о том, становится очевидным, что экономика находится в фазе здоровой трансформации, а не избыточного расширения.Понятие «перегрев» подразумевает рост выше потенциальных возможностей, провоцирующий дефицит ресурсов. В Казахстане такие признаки в настоящее время не наблюдаются.Уровень безработицы с 2023 года стабильный и находится на уровне 4,6-4,7%, темп роста заработных плат  отстает от динамики ВВП, что нехарактерно для перегретой экономики.Рост реального сектора или производства товаров (в 2025 году на 8,7%) значительно опережал рост сектора услуг (на 5,3%). Классическая картина во время «перегрева» обратная, услуги и неторгуемые сектора растут быстрее реального сектора.В Казахстане наблюдается восстановительный и структурный рост. Рост экономики на 6,5% в прошлом году и планируемая динамика на уровне не ниже 5,0% в 2026 году подкреплена реальным расширением производственных мощностей и реализацией производственных и инфраструктурных проектов, что формирует потенциал качественного роста экономики в долгосрочной перспективе.При этом ключевым драйвером экономики  в 2025 году и 2026 году остается ненефтяной сектор, в частности, обрабатывающая промышленность, сельское хозяйство, строительство, логистика и внутренняя торговля.В 2025 году обработка выросла на 6,4%, что обеспечено за счет увеличения производства в машиностроении – на 12,9%, в том числе в автомобилестроении – на 17,5%, в производстве металлических изделий на 13,6%, продуктов питания на 8,1%, химической промышленности на 9,8%, напитков на 9,7%, резиновых и пластмассовых изделий на 7,6%.В среднесрочной перспективе акцент экономической политики  будет сделан на развитие торгуемых секторов, на поддержку обрабатывающей промышленности и развитие инфраструктуры.Горнодобывающий сектор, в частности нефтегазовый сектор, не рассматривается как основной источник роста экономики. Ожидается, что  рост в обработке будет существенно опережать рост в горнодобывающем секторе. В обрабатывающей промышленности прогнозируется увеличение темпов роста с 6,2% в 2026 году до 6,6% в 2028 году за счет реализации инвестиционных проектов и ввода новых производств.Продолжающаяся диверсификация экономики сопровождается перераспределением инвестиций в основной капитал в пользу  обрабатывающих производств и транспортно-логистического комплекса, что делает экономику более устойчивой к внешним шокам и колебаниям цен на энергоресурсы.Что касается инфляции, то благодаря принятым в прошлом году Правительством мерам по корректировке тарифной политики и сдерживанию роста цен на СЗПТ, с октября 2025 года наметился четкий тренд замедления годовой инфляции (с 12,9% в сентябре до 12,3% в декабре). После пиковых значений 2025 года (12,9% в сентябре) инфляция вошла в фазу планомерного снижения. По прогнозам, в текущем году уровень инфляции продолжит снижаться и к концу т.г. сложится в таргетируемом коридоре 9-11%.Важным дезинфляционным фактором в этом году является бюджет 2026 года и параметры фискальной политики, которые построены на строгом соблюдении бюджетных правил, в том числе по трансфертам из Нацфонда, росту бюджетных расходов и уровню долга.Бюджетом 2026 года не предусмотрено привлечение целевых трансфертов из Национального фонда, а гарантированные трансферты жестко лимитированы в размере 2 770 млрд тенге.В соответствии с республиканским бюджетом на 2026–2028 годы запланировано снижение ненефтяного дефицита с 7,3% в 2025 году до 4,9% к ВВП в этом году.Таким образом, казахстанская экономика сегодня — это пример прагматичного баланса между стимулированием роста и поддержанием макроэкономической стабильности. The number of new animal species and visitors is growing at the Almaty Zoo 28.01.2026
In 2025, 87 offspring from 31 animal species were born at the Almaty Zoo. Furthermore, the zoo's collection is annually replenished with new and rare species, such as the bison, tamandua, civet, genet, and agama. This was announced by the head of the Almaty City Culture Department, Daniyar Aliyev, at a briefing held at the Regional Communications Service.Today, the Almaty Zoo is one of the oldest and most significant zoos in Kazakhstan. On its 21-hectare territory, it currently houses over 4,000 animals, birds, and reptiles belonging to 385 species. Of these, 76 species are included on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List, and 24 species are listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Kazakhstan."In 2025, the number of zoo visitors reached 1.2 million people. This clearly demonstrates the high popularity of our zoo in the country and the region. The annual increase in attendance is the result of our work and a reflection of the mission to preserve nature," noted the head of the department, Daniyar Aliyev.In 2025, the Almaty Zoo was accepted as a full member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA). Applications Open in Almaty for Concessional Financing to Stabilize Prices of Socially Important Food Products 28.01.2026
JSC “SPC Almaty” is launching concessional loans for entrepreneurs as part of the implementation of mechanisms to stabilize prices of socially important food products (SIFP).The loans will be provided to replenish working capital at an annual interest rate of 0.01% and will enable entrepreneurs to cover key operating expenses, including the purchase of raw materials, payment for services, salaries, and logistics.In turn, producers and retailers will undertake obligations to restrain prices for socially important food products. The volume of supplies is determined by the entrepreneur, and upon receiving the loan, prices on store shelves will be fixed for a specified period. The interest of foreign influencers in the mountainous locations of the metropolis confirms the city's growing appeal as a destination for winter and active tourism. This was reported by the Almaty Tourism Department.During their trip, the guests familiarized themselves with Shymbulak's infrastructure, appreciated the variety of slopes for skiers and snowboarders of different skill levels, as well as the unique combination of mountain landscapes and the panorama of Almaty.Orkhan Aslanov, for whom this is not his first visit to Almaty, noted that the city and the Shymbulak resort reveal themselves to him in a new way each time. Заместитель Премьер-министра – министр национальной экономики РК Серик Жумангарин провел встречу с политическим директором Министерства иностранных дел Германии Домиником Муттером.В ходе переговоров отмечено, что Казахстан последовательно нацелен на дальнейшее укрепление партнерства с Германией по всему спектру двустороннего взаимодействия и рассматривает ее как одного из ключевых стратегических партнеров в Европейском союзе. Подчеркнуто, что торгово-инвестиционное сотрудничество традиционно является основой и движущей силой казахстанско-германских отношений.«Казахстан рассматривает развитие торгово-инвестиционного взаимодействия с Германией как стратегический приоритет и намерен придавать этому процессу системный и долгосрочный характер, с акцентом на диверсификацию торговли и внедрение новых технологий в ключевые отрасли экономики», — отметил Серик Жумангарин.Германия занимает седьмое место среди торговых партнеров Казахстана. По итогам января-ноября 2025 г. товарооборот между странами составил $3,9 млрд, в том числе экспорт — $1,2 млрд (+7,9%), импорт — $2,7 млрд (+6,1%).В качестве приоритетных задач обозначены диверсификация структуры взаимной торговли, а также расширение трансфера новых технологий в ключевые секторы экономики.Отмечено, что между двумя странами сформирована устойчивая архитектура экономического диалога. Ключевую роль в ней играют Межправительственная комиссия и Деловой совет. Эти механизмы уже дали измеримые результаты: с участием германских компаний в Казахстане реализуется 36 инвестиционных проектов на сумму 49,7 млрд евро, из которых 23 проекта уже введены в эксплуатацию. Подчеркнуто, что сформированная база позволяет переходить к более технологически сложным форматам сотрудничества.Особое внимание уделено вопросам расширения совместного финансирования стратегически значимых проектов, включая модернизацию промышленных предприятий и развитие «зеленой» энергетики с участием немецких банков и страховых инструментов. Предложено активнее задействовать казахстанско-германский механизм совместного финансирования. Казахстанская сторона подтвердила готовность к реализации совместных инициатив с участием финансовых институтов и компаний Германии, в том числе в сфере водородной и «зеленой» энергетики, с перспективой развития сотрудничества по направлению «зеленой» стали.Отдельно отмечено, что Германия остается одним из ключевых партнеров Казахстана в агропромышленном комплексе. Ранее сторонами была согласована концепция Регионального центра устойчивого земледелия в Центральной Азии. В настоящее время начата практическая работа по созданию Центра и формированию Координационного совета, который определит стратегические направления и форматы дальнейшего сотрудничества.В свою очередь Доминик Муттер подчеркнул значимость взаимодействия с Казахстаном.«Для Германии стратегическое региональное партнерство со странами Центральной Азии, и в особенности с Казахстаном, имеет большое значение. Мы высоко ценим роль страны в регионе и позитивно оцениваем ее многовекторную политику. У наших стран есть взаимный интерес к расширению сотрудничества.
