Road construction and repair plans in the region were reviewed at a meeting of the staff chaired by the regional governor, Askhat Shakharov.According to Aibek Kair, head of the Department of Passenger Transport and Highways, currently the indicator of good and satisfactory condition of roads in the Aktobe region has reached 78%.This year, 44.7 billion tenge has been allocated for the implementation of 101 projects with a total length of 288 kilometers. Among them, 21 are local roads and 80 are projects related to intercity and rural roads. Particular attention is paid to the repair of roads connecting the district and villages.In addition, within the framework of the “Aul el – besigi” project, a project to build and repair 26 inter-village roads in districts for a total amount of 4.7 billion tenge is being implemented.As a result of the above-mentioned works, it is expected that the indicator of good and satisfactory condition of the region’s roads will reach 82%.Aibek Kair also noted that concrete work is being carried out to eliminate deficiencies in previously constructed roads. In 2024, the National Center for Road Quality Assets identified 205 deficiencies in 166 projects.
