Within the framework of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Serbia, the delegation of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry held a number of significant meetings.The Head of the Ministry of Finance met with the Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of Serbia Elena Begovic. During the talks, issues of cooperation in the field of scientific research in space and the use of space technologies in various sectors of the economy were discussed.A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Digital Development of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Science of Serbia in the field of space activities. The document provides for cooperation in such areas as remote sensing of the Earth, satellite development, testing and application of space technologies."We are confident that the implementation of these initiatives will allow our countries to reach a new level of cooperation. Space technologies are becoming an important tool for the digitalization of the economy, including monitoring in agribusiness, water and land management, as well as subsoil use," Minister Jaslan Madiyev said.A memorandum of cooperation was also signed between the Ministry of Digital Development of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications of Serbia in the field of information and communication technologies. The document is aimed at developing the IT sector and promoting the socio-economic development of the two countries.
