There are six production facilities on the territory of the colony that provide employment for convicts. Among them there is a confectionery workshop, a workshop for the production of semi—finished products, two sewing workshops, a sausage workshop, as well as a site for growing and processing vegetable products.             During the visit, an anonymous survey of more than 30 convicted women was conducted, aimed at assessing the conditions of detention, the level of observance of rights, as well as the availability of medical, psychological and legal assistance. In addition, a personal reception was held, during which more than 10 convicts were able to directly address the Commissioner with their concerns.          As a sign of support for the re-socialization programs, the library fund of the institution was replenished with more than 150 books collected as part of a charitable initiative. After my release, I want to return to my family, work and start my life anew," the convict shared.           — Today, the institution has four sole proprietors and two LLP companies.         A 38-year-old resident of Semey has been evading alimony payments to his minor son for almost seven years. As a result, the total amount of debt over ten years exceeded five million tenge.          By a court decision, the man was found guilty and sentenced to one year of restriction of freedom. After the verdict came into force, the convict was registered with the probation service of the Zatonsky district of Semey.          When registering, the convicted person was explained in detail the procedure and conditions for serving the sentence, as well as the consequences of violating the restrictions established by the court. Despite the ongoing preventive work, the convict repeatedly violated the requirements of probation control: he did not appear for mandatory registration and left his place of residence at night without proper permission.         Due to systematic violations, the court decided to replace the unserved part of the punishment in the form of restriction of liberty with imprisonment for a period of seven months.                    - I have only now realized the consequences of my irresponsible attitude.  Now my son is already 15 years old. All this time, I practically did not participate in his life and did not help him the way a father should have. Previously, it seemed to me that it was possible to postpone payments and avoid responsibility, but over time it comes to the realization that the lost years can no longer be returned. The hardest part is realizing that the child grew up without my support. Today I understand that alimony is not just money, but taking care of the future of my own child. I am very sorry for my actions and would like to correct my mistakes," the convict shared.             - The convict was repeatedly given the opportunity to correct his behavior without isolation from society. The average production time of one such module is about one month.          -Participation in the production process allows not only to get stable employment, but also to improve professional skills that will be useful after release. I had already worked in the construction industry before, so I was happy to join this work. Here we don't just fulfill an order — we create products in demand, learn responsibility and teamwork. A meeting dedicated to preparations for the upcoming heating season was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov. In the future, it is planned to expand production and launch a line for sewing women's clothing.        - Working in a sewing workshop is of special importance to him. I am glad that I work here. It so happens that my two minor children are currently in an orphanage. When I complete another order, I imagine that I am sewing for my child, so I put my whole soul into the work.
